Here's an updated version of my logo:
Frankly, I liked the red better, and the "Productions" is pretty hard to read on this version.
It's too monochrome, and needs something to make it "Pop."
Your logo is monochrome ![]()
In fact, I think the background will be red ![]()

Very nice Loïc, it has a noir, old feel to it which I like. I agree with Pritchard that the monochrome 'updated version' doesn't quite catch your eye enough, but I like the design of it none the less. The oïc fb font works really well with the top hat, and the Productions just needs a little beefing up.
While I don't mind the red background, the thing I'd do instead would be to change the glare/L into red. I like the grey gradient, and a red L would look quite nice against it. ![]()

I'll see what I can do with the L.
What do you think of this:
Ooo... Very stylish.
I really like it, but it's not really obvious that one side of the hat is supposed to be an L. Also the "Productions" is still pretty hard to see.
By the way, how did you make the background (the white-ish in the middle to grey on the outside)?
Thanks! ![]()

I don't want it to be really obvious.

It's radial gradient made in After Effects CS6 ![]()
Okay, let me rephrase myself. I didn't realize that the hat was supposed to be an L at first and I was wondering why it said "oic fb," but maybe that's just because I've seen your older logo(s) with a seperate L.
But, if you like it, keep it.

The new, new logo is very well done, but, I think the red L could do with less of a gradient (specifically, get rid of the grey to red gradient, and put in it's place a more solid red, yet toned down a bit). I disagree with what Mighty Wanderer said about how recognisable the hat's glare is as an L - I find it quite easy to see.
I also miss the darker gradient from the grey logo you originally posted, and the Productions text still needs to be fattened so it's more legible. But other than that, well done!
There is still something about the grey original post logo that really appeals to me though.
Thank you.

The problem is that the oïc fb is grey, so the L should be too.
I'll try with a darker red.
So...
Personally, I think that the font that you used for "Loic fb" was better in your older logo design. This one looks a bit too bland and generic in my opinion. However, I like the font and kerning for "productions". Perhaps a blend of the two logos would work better? The darker gray for "productions" works much better also, because I can't even read it and hardly can see it in your signature at the moment.
I second Repelling Spider. The italicized font doesn't fit very well, and I agree about the "productions" writing. ANother thing which probably sounds rather nitpicky but really sticks out to be is the forward lean of the L. Somehow, it just looks off to me. Still, it's a nice logo. ![]()
Thanks, but I love the new font because it's clean and we can focus on the Top-Hat. I'll not change it.
Your getting there Loïc! I recognise now what you want to achieve with the grey-red gradient - I'd just hone it down a little more. Make the grey only appear near the end of the brim/L, and I think it'll be satisfactory. The Productions looks a lot better now, I don't think it needs anymore work.
Other than what I've said, I have no qualms about it whatsoever. I'm glad you're keeping the sleek font, it looks good italicised as it fits in almost perfectly with the angle of the L and doesn't draw attention to itself. Don't change it. ![]()
Thanks for your precious support! An official version of the logo is coming soon

I agree with you.

Very good. The smaller amount of grey on the L works a lot better now, the transition between the brim/L to the text is almost flawless. Really like it.
The original:

The revamped:

I went over the original logo today, and adjusted a few things. If you have a sharp eye, you'd realise that the horses have become far more detailed and realistic, that I've changed the film reel holes to fit the contours of the carousel chassis, and that the little points at the base of the roof stick out a little less. I like it a lot better.
