Re: The Animation Challenge

I always liked the sound of mud/lava.  You could also do: reloading (gun), walking on a tightrope, or lasers without VFX.

Theme: Super Hero Action Scene. Ex: Has to have some sort of super power, or else it's just an action scene.

This good enough? (this is my first time winning so I'm trying my best, I don't know the past themes)

Hmmm, Ok.
What's the deadline?
The 25th would follow the previous standard of a week, but I recommend the 26th, to give people seven full days of work time.

IGNORE: ONLY IF THEME IS TAKEN....................If that's too vague(or has already been taken), then how about an actual challenge like descending from a mountain? (rope or whatever around body, zip lining down a mountain side)

First, most of the themes have been posted on the first page, it won't take long to check that to see if said theme has already been done.

Repelling has been done, as has climbing a mountain. So those wouldn't be good. And while Superhero moves is vague, we've had challenges like it before, so that's not a huge deal. It seems like that's what you're leaning towards, but it also seems like you're not putting much effort into getting this up and running smoothly. Do you really want to pick the theme, run the challenge, and judge the entries? If you're too busy, or just can't/don't want to do it, I'm sure somebody else can.

As it stands this seems like what you want:

Superhero moves
DEADLINE: 2/26/13
Must demonstrate a superpower of some sort.

Oh, and nothing is wrong with re-doing a challenge, but doing so encourages people to simply copy the previous winner's strategy and not think up something original and creative.  It has been done, but it's better to pick something new, especially considering all the cool stuff that hasn't been done yet. Many of the ideas put forth in the past few days are great, others not so much, but there's still a LOT of things left, it only takes a little creativity to find them.

Anyway, I think I'll just shut up now. And maybe we all should take a break from this thread until everything is sorted out. All this posting keeps getting my hopes up that the theme has been posted, and the challenge has started.
And please don't ask why I keep posting here, I don't quite know why myself.

P.S. END, we get it. You want machine gun without VFX. Mighty has a great point, but if you win the challenge, you can do that. Until then, you've put that out, it's been declined, so give it a rest for now. Thanks. mini/wink

Re: The Animation Challenge

I agree with Pritvhard here, people need to calm down and stop posting challenge suggestions, when its obvious that Screamingtantrum is choosing the challenge.

Re: The Animation Challenge

This theme has finally given me a good idea for a film. (Although the idea will take to long for the challenge so I'll film just the hero moves part, submit, then finish it.)

Re: The Animation Challenge

I probibly didn't enter in time but here is what I prepared for the challenge.

Re: The Animation Challenge

Great entry! And I thought the lighting was fine but if you're having trouble with light flicker in the Logitech Webcam Software go to advanced settings and untick 'auto' for the white balance option and then drag it all the way over to the left. Hope I helped. mini/smile
