I just saw the finale. It was brilliant!
Thus begins the long wait for Season 4. It's probably going to be 7 months. D:
They did it.
Derpy was in the background.
Properly this time.
Derped and everything! 
It seems as though she's not completely gone after all.
Seven songs. Wow. That's quite a bunch. They really outdid themselves here. That's going to be hard to top.
That was the Best Episode Evar. Now we wait 7 months for season 4

I love me some musical episodes. Boy howdy.
See, of course this episode was not as complex story-wise as some of the others, but it was ADORABLE. I mean even though they only had 22 minutes to use, they did a good job fitting it in the time slot. And those songs were amazing! I mean, that first song was so cute And I really liked the Space Odyssey bit too.
and aaaaahhh Twilight Sparkle looked so pretty at the end omg. I loved it!
Words can not describe how much I loved that episode. The entire thing blew me away. My only complaint was it did seem a tad rushed, but it was to be expected in only a 30 minute episode. I think the funniest thing was that there haven't been many songs this season and then BAM 7 songs in the finale. Hopefully there won't be as much of a wait until Season 4 due to there only being 13 episodes this season.

I was recently at a sleepover at my friends' house. They have Netflix installed on their "Hulu", and I decided to give MLP a shot. One episode, I thought, wouldn't hurt. I couldn't make it to the title card until I nearly had a "mind-seizure".
I could be wrong, but I don't think I'll ever come to watching...that show.

Some work much better as a starter than others.
I think episode 10, Swarm of the Century is really good for that.
Mickey, if you're referring to the very first episode, the exact same thing happened to me. I couldn't make it to the theme song either. I gave it another chance though.
Look where I am today. Seriously, watch Lesson Zero. That's a great introduction episode.

Well that was a good season. I enjoyed the finale, even if I'm not too sold on the idea of Twilight’s new appearance.

Yup, that was it!
It was probably the theme song that made you not want to finish watching it. (It's a bit misleading on how the show actually is.)
I even skipped over it the first few episodes I watched (it's beginning made me think "NOPE NOPE NOPE"). But one time I tried not skipping it and it wasn't that bad.

We watch it while having an open mind. When I tried watching it the first couple of times, I only focused on the slightly girly bits and didn't focus on the genuinely good parts, which made me not like it. It's mostly a mindset of "Wow it's so stupid, am I seriously watching this?" that keeps one back from enjoying it (including me at one time). Just try to watch it (specifically "Lesson Zero") again without that mindset, and you hopefully will enjoy it.
