The reason why I didn't want Cyborg in the setting is because I feel like he is more Teen Titans material. It is so stupid how DC added him to the New 52 Justice League. The casting in the picture above is what I hope DC and WB will do in the live action feature film coming in 2015.

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

Hi there.

First off, I'm not sure of anywhere to get a decent Martian Manhunter minifigure, but I just ran a quick search into Flickr and there are loads of decals on offer. I'd recommend using these rather than buying a figure anyway, since non-LEGO stockists of home-made figures will almost definitely be overpriced. As for the things he can become, just experiment and see what you can create - that's the best thing about LEGO!

I'm sorry you're not a fan of Cyborg, since he's actually quite a good character (and hasn't been part of the Teen Titans since the early 90s, I think). Also, I think Martian Manhunter is a bit overpowered, and having him and Superman on the same team makes all the other members seem redundant. But that's just my opinion.

Onto your figures - I think they're good, but could do with a little touch-up, especially since you're using them in conjunction with actual LEGO figures. They look a little out of place. I did a Green Lantern video myself a while ago (it wasn't great, IMO) and the decal I used for that was by this guy, who's done some amazing decals. He has a MOCPages account too - just search for Josh LaFollette.

For the Flash, I think it would probably be better to do his whole head as a decal, as the helmets never seem to quite work. Even the official Flash in the new video game looks odd.

Hope all of this helps!

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

The reason I chose to have Flash wear a headgear part was since batman and flash wear a mask and batman is wearing headgear to represent his mask, I might as well have Flash wear one also.

If I had my own storyline with these heroes, I would have J'onn NOT have Heat vision like in the comics in order to not have him be overpowered and let the "heating-jobs" go to Superman.

Other than that, thanks for your honest opinion.

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

Here are a few characters I might use in a Star Wars film down the road.  They're meant to be older versions of Leia, Luke, and Han respectively.  I'm not sure if I did them justice, especially considering their yellow figures instead of pale.  Any thoughts?  (apologies for the large size)

I would recommend not making the video because you will receive tons of nerdy rants in the comments on how "the story doesn't match the expanded universe of Star Wars".

My first thought is that it seems Han has aged a bit better than Luke...
Luke looks at least 30 years older than he was at the end of Star Wars VI, while Han only looks 10 years older mini/what

What is that thing Leia is holding? It kinda looks a lot like a cigarette... mini/confused (please correct me if I'm wrong)
As for the yellow skin, personally that looks just fine.

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

I just felt like doing something with the Mr. Good and Evil torso.  I'm not sure what this is.

Perfect. That's what that is.

Really like the lighting by the way. mini/wink

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

I need help making a kerberos riot trooper , anyone got any ideas?

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

Does anyone have suggestions for a torso to use for a "wanderer" minifig (a bow and arrow-wielding sigfig for me)? I'd like to go with one of two styles: first, more like a forestman/elf, with a torso such as this or this. Second, a "cool" character along the lines of this, for which I don't have any torso ideas.

Comments/suggestions?

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

How about this?

EDIT: Oh whoops, I didn't see that you already posted that one.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

What about this torso...?

Here's the minifigure on bricklink.
(I don't know (yet) how to link the way you guys are, sorry)

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

Like I said in the original post, those are the two torsos I have in mind for a "forestman/elf"-type character. Glad to see that others like them, too. mini/smile

Does anyone have suggestions for a torso to use for a for a minifig along the lines of this? I'd like to review all my choices before (probably) buying anything.

And JonnDthunDer, check this out about putting links in posts.

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

Ok, here's a similar, but more detailed torso.
And here's something that may work, but really, neither green looks very threatening.
Dark green would be perfect, so the second torso that you suggested would be great.

This is black, but has the shiny belt printing, and this has some annoying red printing.

There's not too many that come close to matching that picture, and those are all that I could find. mini/wink

The dark green hood is a must, but few of the torsos look good with it.
I'd say the "Elf" figure's torso with the dark green hood would look nice, but that's just me.

Probably not.  It doesn't really fit fit with anything nor the films within the film.

However, it does seem like exactly the sort of thing for another film I might make which I'm currently calling "The Absorbent Old Man"

(I desperately need a better name because that makes no sense out of context at all, even though the film is based upon the Absorbent Old Man himself, though has practically no relevance to him)

It has a whole lot of dark spirits in it, much like that thing.
I'm having trouble building a good protagonist at the moment, though.

It looks like I'll probably be making a forestman/elf figure, judging by the lack of the other type of torsos. mini/tongue

I finally found my brother's chain-link elf torso (the first one mentioned), but I'm not really sure that's going to work. But I do happen to have a dark green hood, from Doctor Doom, and I'm definitely planning on using it.

I think I'll probably end up using this one, the only reason I don't want the other elf one is simply because of the elf buckles and designs, but otherwise it would work perfectly.
