You might want to make the sides a bit shorter because they're minifigures.
The size it's at right now comes up to the middle of a minifig's torso. A better porportion would be to about a minifig's hips.
That would bring it two plates lower.
My sister and I used to just call those "moving platform thingys" 
I love these sets you are making. But what is the stuff on the right side of the Travelator? Is it the mechanism of it?

I tried building it lower at the start but for some reason I didn't like the way it looked.

Yeah. That's what I would call them until I walked past one that wasn't working and a sign by it said; TRAVELATOR OUT OF ORDER. Btw. The stuff on the right hand side is the train track, I basically just built the Travelator on the tube station
set. The main character of this film has a dream in which the tube station and Travelator sorta mix together.

I was away last week and this week I haven't got much brickfilming done because I been moving stuff around my room...including my animation studio itself.
Oh and I'll be away next week too!

Just when I was animating BULB last week, one of the bulbs from my lamps went and before I could get a new one we were snowed in! Luckily the snow has gone now and yesterday I walked to get a new bulb (because there was too much ice to move car). It took about an hour to walk. But; the company have now made an new version of my old bulb which uses LED so the light is now a lot more white then it used to be. I will have to see how it goes because I don't really like LED lights, the light they give is quite unnatural and more direct rather then spread out.
Anyway, I will stop complaining and get on with animating. 
I should be able to post some pictures fairly soon...
What do you think?
It's a nice frame. Is the guy trying to jump out the window of the train car?
I won't tell you what quite is going on but it's still something to do with the Travelator...
There was another frame which I thought was much better then the one here but unfortunately, it would give the game away.

No, I recently bought a Logitech C920 because my Quickcam pro 9000 broke.
There is an amazing difference in the quality!
Hey everyone.
Sorry for not posting for a while. I decided after finishing that last scene that I wanted to make a shortish film to keep my channel updated, but so far; I really hate it so I'm going to dismantle the set and continue with BULB. 
The next set I build will probably be of a packed tube station corridor, so yeah, I'll keep you updated with that.
Ok, the escalator is nearly built!
Here are some pictures:
What you won't be able to see in the film is how the escalator actually works. The cam will be in the same place as it is in picture 1 and in each frame I will move the long, thin piece of LEGO slightly downwards giving the impression that the minifigure is slowly moving down the escalator.
Feel free to ask any questions, or if you have a better or different idea of how to work the escalator, I would be interested to hear from you.
I like it, except the sides of the escalator don't look very... escalator-ey. 
I think it needs to look smoother; maybe try using 1x2 or 1x3 slope bricks, or these sideways, if you have enough.
And be sure to add some advertisements on the wall when you add it!

Unfortunately it seems very unlikely that I will have enough. 
Still, I will see whether there's anything I can do to improve it.
Oh and I will defiantly add some ads.

I finished the escalator scene and I am now building a ticket office and shop.
In the meantime, here's a picture from the escalator scene:
Huh, the guy almost looks edited in. But the pictures in the windows look really nice.
The back wall looks blue-screened in. (Or purple, judging by the hint of said color between the tiles on the railing.)
Look at the railing, and then the guy.
Ignoring the slightly messy blue-screen, it looks fine, but there's not much depth to it.
(That could be easily solved by adding railing to the other side of the escalator.)
