Re: BULB

Yeah, a similar thing happened last October with my old computer. At least that one was 5 years old, this ones 5 months old! mini/lol And I probably will not be able to use any other computer, the only one in the house my mum uses for work. The problem with my computer is that I can't enter the BIOS. (Lots of people are having this problem on Windows 8 ) Not too major I know, but I may need it in a few years time if I wont to replace the hard drive...

Re: BULB

I think that if you go to control panel there's an option to restart and go into BIOS. I also think that if I problem is detected at start up then windows 8 gives you the option of opening BIOS.

Yeah, tried that, nether of them work. My dad has had a good go to get in to it, but could not. The funny thing was, a lot of the people he rung up on the phone (PC world, Lenovo) didn't know a thing about computers! mini/tongue

Re: BULB

Ok, I am back in operation! In the end my PC was sent to Lenovo for them to fix. It's taken a while but it's back now mini/bigsmile
I am editing BULB and will soon resume work on Upsidedown (a shorter film I'm working on). So yeah, all good, apart from losing one file of BULB. Fortunately the file wasn't very important and easy to replace.

Haha, I've been asked that loads mini/tongue  It was going to be summer but after a few calamities (two computers and one webcam breaking) I've put it back to October or Christmas.

Re: BULB

Looks great! Also, I love your start button mini/tongue

Re: BULB

I am now animating scene 8. This scene hopefully will make you pee your pants in fright. OK, maybe not but it should be  creepy. mini/tongue
Here's a frame. I put the frame slightly out of focus so to make you more intrigued to what's down there.

Re: BULB

Wow! That looks amazing! What did you use for the light?

no more brickfilming *sad face*.

Re: BULB

Looks great!  I really love the lighting, and the greenish tint it has.

Re: BULB

Sorry about not replying, I was away.
Here's the lighting set up:

Nothing too complicated. The green tint is coming from the green screen at the side. I didn't intend to have a green tint but when I saw the frame I quite liked it mini/smile

Anyway. Now I'm working on one of the final scenes in the film. Here's a test frame:

The room's a little plain at the moment but I will put more detail into it later.

Re: BULB

Wow, looks nice!  I like the lighting, although it's a little too bright; perhaps try dimming it down a bit, or putting a piece of paper in front of the lamp to dim it a bit.  Can't wait for the finished film!

Re: BULB

Looks nice. However, I can see a little bit of a lego plate in the window, on the left, caused because the light is shining more on the right side. I also like the red/pink tint of the frame. Can't wait for the final product. And just wondering, what definition are you going to be rendering this in...720p or 1080p?

Re: BULB

@Legoguy501
I think 720p. 1 because my webcam isn't really high enough quality to benefit 1080p and 2 it would take a really long time to upload.
BTW I have finished scene 10 and on to 11, one of the last scenes. Here's a frame:

Whats this scene about?
Looks interesting mini/smile

Re: BULB

Can I leave a pro tip! When building normal walls with different little pieces and then set the light up you can see trought the slits of the wall. So you can cover the other side of the wall using (for example) black (base?)plate. Then they won't bother you, it's not really necessary but I like it more. I mean you can use that trick in future. mini/smile

Re: BULB

@megagill74
It's one of the ending scenes of BULB, the two are having a chat about the big events that have happened to them though the film mini/tongue

@silmänkääntäjä
Thanks for the tip! I have done that in the past but in that frame I forgot.

I am now building an new set for scene 4 which I have previously animated but I am not satisfied by it so I am redoing it. (Click link to show a frame from original scene 4).

Well, I have about two more scenes and then I will be finished and will start editing the film.
I am hoping to have it out by Christmas.
