Topic: Camera And Gun Test

Hi Guys, this is a sorta test, preview thingy....

what do you all think?

Re: Camera And Gun Test

Pretty good, but a few of the shots were too short.
Unless it's a chaotic fight scene, it's best to have each shot last at least 2 seconds. And while that's not a hard and fast rule, it's a good guideline to film by. You've still got a bit of a flicker problem, but you're getting much, much better.

Re: Camera And Gun Test

Thanks mate, yeah, I'm going to be moving soon, which means I'll get a Store Room(DARK DARK place mini/bigsmile mini/bigsmile ) to animate in... mini/bigsmile ok, 2 seconds. I'll bear that in mind.

thanks.
Also, did you get a chance to read that script? cause this is a (*Preview for a) film set just before that.

Re: Camera And Gun Test

Yeah I agree with Pritchard, it's quite rushed feeling. Also, check the lighting, some spots seemed uneven, and be mindful of shadows on your backdrop!

Re: Camera And Gun Test

yep, ok, thanks for your help guys. what do you think I could do to improve, as this is leading into my other film: "MidNight Detective" and I want to get that right....

Re: Camera And Gun Test

Well, it's not like it's bad. I would look at other films and compare the shot phrasing and spacing to yours. That's always helpful. Also, just make sure your set is evenly lit, and don't allow for shadows in wrong places. Adjusting your lamp placement should be an easy fix.

Re: Camera And Gun Test

ok. when I move, I'm NEVER going to get that problem, as the Green screen will be a number of feet away from the table with the set on it, so, wont need to worry about that! mini/lol

ok, so I'll need to remember to run my shots longer then I think necessary, so they last long enough....

Re: Camera And Gun Test

um... did ya mean to post that in here? but, quite ok actually, just need it to be a lil smoother.

Re: Camera And Gun Test

Why would you post this in other brickfilmer's test/film thread? It's such a douchey move.
