Topic: 3-in-1 VFX Test (Set extension, chroma keying, and a glowing visor)

Mouse Droid here with another VFX test. It's just a little something to let you guys know that I'm not dead and that I'm actually trying to get some proper content out. This was a little test to try my hand at chroma keying. And since I have quite a small lego collection, I also tried to see how decently I could digitally extend my sets. I think my tests turned out quite good, but I'd like to know what you guys think. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Seems like in most artwork the Republic Commando visors have more of a bright on top, dark on bottom gradient look to them. As for the rest, it looks nice. I couldn't tell what was real and what wasn't.

That was really good! At first I couldn't even tell it was chroma keyed!

I had no idea that the wall was fake at all.
Wow.

Thanks for all the compliments, everyone!

Yeah, I'm still playing around with the visors. I didn't really bother to change it in this test since I was more focused on the chroma keying.

Great work, I was surprised to see the entire wall was keyed in.

For the visor glow it felt very flat. Try putting in a bright spot towards the centre of it (ie white to blue). Combined with the top to bottom gradient seafood suggested (play around with the strengths of the gradients, of course) and this should give a more believable result.

Either "seafood" is your new nickname for me, or you're using autocorrect.
