I wonder who Philip is... (:P)

Awesome set, but be careful about using those buildings too many times for backgrounds, someone might notice.

The one with the ripped pants who fought Vango.

And yes, quite right.
So far, I used the before in the news shot, but they're very small there.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

used right(i'd invole ALOT of planing) you could use them to show that its in a different part of the city.....

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Wow ANP, those look really nice. I especially like the close-up of the diamond.
Anyway, I decided to take some pictures of this quarry-like area for Meat Quest.

I had not noticed that one of the slaves had fallen over...

This is where the main charatcers will enter the set from, not exactly sure what to call this place to put on a sign. I don't really need to have the sign, I thought it would just make for a cool shot...

And once more from the top.
Kinda wish my Logitech could get this good quality...

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Looks cool. One question: what do you do for a background for, say, the second picture?

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Sorry but I don't really get what you mean? Could you explain please?

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Why is it that you don't animate with that camera?

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Well, firstly it has autofocus. Secondly I don't really have a way to stabilize it or set it up for shots properly. Thirdly, I don't think I have a computer-camera cable for it, I might, I'm a bit too lazy to look. And lastly, I don't have an expensive program like dragonframe to animate with a proper camera.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

What camera do you have?

In the mentioned shot you have parts of two different backgrounds showing, what do you do to avoid a weird-looking backdrop?

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Actually it's all one set. Yeah, I'm kinda bad at conveying a gradient from the foresty-area to that weird quarry place. Also, I don't animate with this camera, I animate with my Logitech 9000.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I use the same webcam, but I can set everything on manual. What's keeping you from doing so too?

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I do... I was saying that to take the pictures of the set, I used a different camera.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I've been doing a lot of building for THAC so that I'll have plenty of useful stuff on hand for animating.
This is a bit an experimental shot for a little house with a TARDIS type interior.
(The lighting's very bad, but I wanted to give it a test)

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Looks good, Squid.

I've always wanted to try something like that.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

cool, how is ur camera so clear? what one do you use?

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Wow, looks very nice!  The backdrop reminds me of the Medieval Wing of the Gotham Museum in I am the Darkness.  Love the lighting and stained-glass window.  Also, where did you get the vampire's body/torso?

Retribution (3rd place in BRAWL 2015)

&Smeagol      make the most of being surrounded by single, educated women your own age on a regular basis in college
AquaMorph    I dunno women are expensive

Thanks. mini/smile

It originates from Bilbo's Hobbit hole. It's the torso of Balin the dwarf.

Oh my...

I know it's a little late for Christmas, but I just got Monkeyjam and I wanted to test some things out before THAC. Anyways, this is from an upcoming holiday special starring...

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?
