Speaking of The Hobbit, it's possible that I'll be able to see it at Midnight December 14, the first showing.
Scratch that, it won't work out. Does anyone know how long The Hobbit will be showing in theaters? I can't find any showings after the 23 of December.... ![]()
Star Trek into Darkness Trailer
I'm really glad that there is no shortage of lens flares here.
I'm immensely happy that Cumberbatch is playing the bad guy.

For me The Hobbit will be shown until boxing day
I just watched the Star Trek trailer and I am totally weirded out by the fact that Sherlock is in it... I can't really imagine him in any other role
So here's a film nobody's mentioned ( I don't think.) What do y'all think of the OZ movie coming up? It has nice art as far as I can tell.
Another film that I am curious about is Imaginaerum. It's already released in like Finland but I have no idea when it is being released anywhere. The main reason I am interested in it is because it is directed by this really great Finnish band however it looks pretty amazing. Kind of like what Tim Burton has been trying to achieve in recent years.
The new (And official) Hobbit soundtrack!
Blocked thanks to "INgrooves," but it is available here.
(This is a working link for the Hobbit Soundtrack. This clarification has been added since it seems to be invisible.

Topit, Oz the Great and Powerful looks silly to me. It has that Tinker Bell feel to it, for some reason.
I can see that resemblance but really Tinkerbell people just took a fun fantasy feel and turned it into a consumerist stereotype or whatever.

Yes! I've been waiting for this for some time now.
EDIT: Aww, it was blocked in my country. ![]()
DOUBLE EDIT: Found a working link for anyone having a similar problem. I've so far listened to 'My Dear Frodo', and it's really brilliant.

It works in Canada ![]()
Killing Them Softly is looking so darn good. Shame that it is going to be a straight-to-DVD release in Sweden, which means I'll have to wait until March to see it.
Man of Steel - Official Trailer #2
While I thought the first teaser was pretty good, I'm divided on this one.
The slower, less action-oriented style didn't fire me up the way most trailers should.
It wasn't bad, but simply put, it didn't feel very "Super."
By the way, I pre-ordered my Hobbit tickets for 10:30 AM, Friday the 14th, HFR 3D. And I can't wait! ![]()
EDIT: Lone Ranger trailer #2.
Apparently, Ranger is now not only playing second fiddle, but has risen from the dead and can't be killed anymore.
This just keeps getting dumber each trailer.

Yeah, my initial reaction was "this needs more action!". That being said, I think it'll be very interesting and refreshing to see a different style than the typical action-oriented superhero movie.
I'm pretty sure the thing about him coming back from the dead has to do with his origin. I think that he was a solider who was supposed to be dead (thus the "rising from the dead") and maybe the part what him not being able to be killed anymore is an idea that anyone can be the Lone Ranger, like with Batman. It does look like Depp's part in this movie is too big, unless he's his sidekick and mentor.

I don't think so (about not actually being killed). From the trailer it sounds like he is sort of a "Captain Jack" (Doctor Who]), a guy who can never die.

Could be, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
As a casual fan of classic superhero comics, I just want to point out that technically Superman cannot grow a beard while under the yellow sun. He would have to fly to a system with a red sun, in which he would have no powers, wait for a beard to grow, then somehow fly back. Thank you very much.
In all seriousness, the trailer looks okay, but most of these superhero films end up being exactly the same. I'd watch it maybe, but I'm not too excited.
I think the second trailer sort of killed any chance of me seeing it. I concur with Topit's "beard" rant. But, the bus scene interests me, however.

I always find the first film for the hero kinda slow, as you have to get everything moving.
But once you get to the next film, everything's already ready and you can have some really great adventure right from the start.
My prediction: over 3 quarters of the film is about Super Man becoming who he is and figuring stuff out. Then, at the end, there is some cool action scene and the film is over.
Later, a sequel is made, and it's really epic all the way through and everybody loves it.
