Re: The Doctor Who Discussion thread(SPOILER ALERT!)
I'm glad to say, she is definitely trillions of times better than Amy/Rory. Somewhat unrelated, but does anybody else find these half-seasons of DW frustratingly annoying?

Not me.
It's better spaced out that way, and then I don't have to go a horribly long time without episodes.
Also, having a break right after Amy and Rory leave seems fitting.

While I'm a big fan of Amy/Rory, I'm with you all the way on these half-seasons. Mid-season finales are one of the more frustrating trends in modern television, in my opinion.
A brake to breathe in some fresh, non-stagnated air
... But really, on the half-season topic, I believe it's merely there so Moffat has time to write for Sherlock. I just want to finish watching the season, and not have to endure another one of those Christmas 'Specials' beforehand.
Best. Christmas Special. Ever
or perhaps on par with 'A Christmas Carol'
Any clue when it will be on Amazon Instant Video?
Whats Amazon Instant Video? lol
Still have to wait four hours for it to air in America. D:
I have to wait at least another eight hours
I have to know, is it better than the less-than-satisfactory Narnia ripoff one from last year? I really look forward to seeing the new companion though.

It wasn't a ripoff of Narnia. It was a tribute to it, or perhaps a kind of a parody. There's a big difference.
Excuse my language, but that must have been one of the most godawful tributes it history - poor old CS Lewis must be rolling in his grave. But, I realise I've been a bit opinionated on this subject, so lets just settle all that, and focus on the upcoming (and somewhat exciting) special. I watched the new intro on YouTube, and I really liked it! Three words: NO MORE LIGHTNING!!! ![]()

I actually thought the Naria tribute episode was good but yes it was kind of a dissapointment, this however is ALOT better in every aspect, the direction is superb. Saul Metzstein (spelling?) is noticably getting better and better in directing Doctor Who episodes and Moffat's storyline is very good although not the highlight of the episode.
The New TARDIS is RIGHT on top and is probably the best one ever together with the new intro title sequence which is also amazing and a perfect nod to the classic series (the return of the FACE)
My TV isn't working properly and I can't watch it and couldn't even record it. ![]()
What a miserable way to end Christmas. ![]()
I feel for you AnnoyingNoises. Don't they have a similar service to ABC iView/BBC iPlayer in your country?

This time it wasn't reeeally intentional, they didn't have enough time to film them all so if we gave them the time we would have had to wait 'til like March for the season to even begin

The BBC player is only for UK residents. ![]()
Wow. I'm so happy right now, that was the first episode I've enjoyed in a very long time (probably since the Ponds arrived). It was really exceptional. Clara is indescribably better. I liked the 'Winter is Coming' quotes. I'm actually excited for the next series!
Glad to see it won you over, it was defenitly the best Christmas special Doctor Who has had (although 'A Christmas Carol' is still deep in my heart), although it's not like Doctor Who has had alot of good ones... i'm looking at you Christmas Invasion, Voyage of the Damned, The Next Doctor and The End of Time!
I finally saw it. ![]()
A very good episode it was.
There are so many people who die a lot on Doctor Who. Jack, Rory, the Doctor himself, and now we have a new dying person. He he
