Topic: Project: Richard Parker

Working on a little clip, thought I'd start an Update thread about it.

First, a progression of the tiger model being built.

PITCH Part 1 Out Now!
Part 2 Coming Soon

Re: Project: Richard Parker

Looks good, if it was me I would dirty up the textures a bit.. but depends on what you're going for I guess.

Re: Project: Richard Parker

Water animations are new to me and figuring out how to get the texture to look dirty will take some time to figure out.  I'll try it in the future.

Working on applying LittleBrick's bevel technique to all the pieces.  Takes a lot of time for a less than 20 sec clip

Re: Project: Richard Parker

Awesome, yeah it just takes off that really shiny look that makes it look overly fake..

Re: Project: Richard Parker

Thoughts on the color? Too orange or needs more orange? What about the pieces? Any piece that should be changed to another color (orange/white/black)?

Re: Project: Richard Parker

This is looking pretty cool Lech. mini/smile

The claw/tooth part used for the ears looks more orange-ish than the other parts, but I'm not sure if that was intentional or not. And the white tile connected vertically to that piece would, in my opinion, look better in black. But other than those two nit-picks, it's really good.

Re: Project: Richard Parker

Yeah, that's odd, but I used the same color as the rest of the body.  I think it's due to the lighting for this test frame.  It'll look consist in the final frame.

The tiles used as cheeks?  Hmm, well I guess it conforms with the rest of the stripe pattern.  Simultaneously, I'd like to keep some white in it per the reference pics I've found on Google.
