I really needed a break from the scripted stuff I'm currently working on (The Shrouded Past), and I had these figs built so I did a few quick tests. Someday, when I have time, I'd like to use these as tests with Adobe After Effects for masking and the flames for The Human Torch. I'm really happy with how that first head turn was!

I never can get links to the mobile site to work right, so here's one to the desktop version of the video.
First, there was some set bumping and light-flickering throughout to tests.
With the Human Torch, the head turn was good, but arm raising was too fast, and the body-of-many-colors didn't look that great. In general though, the movements were pretty good.
Hawkeye's pacing was odd, (The bow shouldn't have waited until after the focus-change to pop out.) and he probably shouldn't have turned the bow sideways, but the pre-focus change arm-raising was done well.
Cap jumped around some, and after the shield left his hand, you forgot to move again him until after the shield was out of the frame.
Wolverine's starting movements were good, but once he hit the camera, he jumped around too much, and it looked like you just moved his entire body at once, and didn't move anything else.
Whoops...sorry 'bout that link. Thanks for the tips! I did bump the set a few times; since it was a test I didn't secure that baseplate down. Good thing it's one of those big gray ones, the camera was still on the baseplate.
The body for human torch was awful...I wish he was all orange with a transorange head or all red etc. the only thing I was really happy wit WAS the head turn...I was making sure to ease-in ease-out.
I did a bad angle for the Hawkeye one and I shouldn't have changed the focus...I'm not sure why I did that. It was mostly a test for the bow changing thing like in some other LEGO Super Heroes videos.
Cap was plain terrible. I think he should have "over exaggerate" the leaning back and he should have moved, like you said, while the shield was moving. I didn't want to do masking so that's why the shield was like that.
Wolverine was really bad after he hit the camera...sorry.
