*Oh boy, I've really gotta stop bumping these forums*
Alright, let's see...
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, The Dark Knight Trilogy (mainly the last one though), Angels & Demons and Inception. All by Hans Zimmer. Then we have here...
Saving Private Ryan, Star Wars IV: A New Hope, The Last Crusade, Jurassic Park, and E.T. All by John Williams.
And of course The Lord of the Rings Trilogy by Howard Shore. c:
My favorite tracks would probably be these: At Wit's End (PoT 3), Why Do We Fall (TDKR), Throne Room And The End Title (Star Wars 4).
The Dark Knight Trilogy (mainly the last one though)
Yeah, for some reason. I especially love the end credits tune. I listen to it all the time on Spotify.

I'm glad you bumped this !
I LOVE movie soundtrack!! You should see my Pandora stations
. The Nightmare Before Christmas is awesome, along with many others. A few of my favorite composers are John Williams, Alan Silvestri, Klaus Badelt, Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, and Howard Shore. A few of my favorite tracks are The Avengers (Alan Silvestri); Main Title Theme(Mission Impossible), and the Nightmare Before Christmas (Danny Elfman); Jurassic Park, Star Wars and the Superman theme (John Williams); Pirates of the Caribbean ( Klaus Badelt); Arrival to Earth (Steve Jablonsky); and the Iron Man soundtrack ( Ramin Djawadi). I hope you like someof these composers, they are amazing. ![]()
-The Lord Of The Rings
-TDK trilogy
-A new Hope
-Jason Bourne
-Inception
The Dark Knight Soundtrack
Same here. Bane's theme (on the score as Gotham's Reckoning) is brilliant, as is No Stone Unturned. Strangely, one the bonus tracks is a dubstep remix of Imagine the Fire.
Wow, I'm listening to that remix right now, and it is pretty great. In comparison to Zimmer's other work I was not too impressed by the dark night rises, but this is great! Junkie XL is so cool, I like their song Molly's E
To save you guys from reading a really long post, I am going to put a link to a blog post that I wrote a long time ago of my top 12. An update since then: Koyaanisqatsi
Also, one soundtrack that I keep forgetting about since it has never been released to the public: Mr. Bean's Vacation.

Howard Goodall, who also composed the music for the TV series, is a classical composer who mainly works with choir, but his film and TV scores are simply magnificent hidden gems. Too bad they are so hard to find...
Also, Charles Trenet~~
BUMP
Seeing as very recently, after about 8 months I beat the game I found it to be an appropriate time to post this, Xenoblade Chronicles.
Seriously, the entire soundtrack of this is a complete masterpiece, and IMO the best video game soundtrack by far. It has everything, from emotional music, to awesome battle themes, amazing area pieces and great music tracks that play at certain points in the story.
It also has maybe the most beautiful title themes I have ever heard.

Bump.
I've discovered that the Prisoner of Azkaban soundtrack is actually really amazing. Definitely one of my favorite work coming from John Williams. Both the tracks A Window to the Past and Finale are brilliant; I really love that remembering-Lilly-and-James theme, or whatever you wanna call it, which is both in A Window to the Past and Finale.
Now that we can hear all the songs thanks to that awesome link from Pritchard...The Hobbit soundtrack!! BEST SONG EVER: The Misty Mountains!
Also I have been listening to a lot of music from the TV show "Treme" (which I have never seen lol.) New Orleans music is really unique and fun to listen to.
John Williams by far my favourite movie composer.
The Apocalypse Now soundtrack is probably my favourite, just for Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner.

I also quite fancy LotR soundtrack, Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack, and the Narnia soundtrack, just not the latest movie. The original one without all the annoying dubs they used. In general, I love most orchestral soundtracks.
On the topic of orchestral pieces, my favourite ones:
Bolero - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KK23BhEQVyU
1812 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0cpKzDoOdA
Oh, I'm now a gentleman after listening to all that.
EDIT: And if gaming soundtracks count, Koji Kondo wins my vote as best gaming soundtrack writer. Not sure if it'd be right to call him a composer or a sound engineer though ![]()
