Here is my own logo, made three minutes ago.
Flickr link
I can tell you made it in three minutes lol
No, he made it three minutes ago, not in three minutes.
The new one looks stretched vertically too much, The thicker, shorter "B" in your profile pic is much more pleasing to the eye. Also the lopsided, solid colored, blue blob isn't as professional looking as the blue and white transparent swirls.
So I would say to stick with the one you have now, it looks a lot better to me. ![]()
Thanks for the feedback, I'll just stick to the old one.
The B is kind of messed up because photoshop hates me, it won't load my fonts properly.
I do like that. @Pixelbox

I disagree, I think the fact that it looks like an eye, an aperture and a film reel all in one symbol is pretty clever and does a good job of communicating that this is the logo for someone who makes films.
I'm going to have to disagree with you. It looks too cut-up and out of place, and also the fact that, as Pritchard said, your eye has to move around the entire logo (Though that's not a huge problem because it can be re-sized). Overall, it just isn't something that seems like a memorable logo to me, and I fail to see how it relates to filming (To me, it doesn't look like an eye, aperture or a film reel).
@Pixel: Your logo is pretty solid, though I would add something that fits more to your name (i.e. something sort of pixel related, but not over board). Other than that, I think it looks great!
@LASF: That, IMO, doesn't look like a logo to me, in fact, it actually looks a little distracting to the eye. Sometimes (Actually, the majority of the time) simple logos are best, but in this case I just don't see it working.
Thanks for the feedback JP I was going to make it pixelly but it was WAY to hard to read ![]()

@Gopher, Sweet!
That's a great sci-fi logo, but what does the text say? I can read "Gopher" (Who can't) and "Attention," but that's it.@LASF, Errmmm.....Putting four, successively smaller squares on top of each other ain't that creative.
You should take something like this or this, and make it look like the text is carved into the cube. That would be cool, and a little more professional looking. (Although you should make your own pic of the Cube, as Marvel may not like your using one of their pics.)
For my logo I didn't intend for the small text to be read; I suppose I should have lowered the opacity on that layer so it would look more like it blended with the background to be less distracting.
And I have to agree with you on LASF's logo about the squares...The bright colors in succession are a little too hard on the eyes to be honest, or at least that's how I feel.
Oh, great logo Pixel! Really nicely done.
Anybody remember that? Yeah, that's the logo that I would like advice on.
It would be nice to get some tips so it can be cleaned up enough to go on a movie poster soon. So if you have any ideas on how to "twist" the film tell me, or if you would like to play with it in Photoshop/Gimp, feel free. I'd like to have a finished logo within a few days if possible. ![]()
You could draw it freehand using a reference picture. You need to have a pretty good sense of perspective but in general the edges of the frames will line up with the edge of the film, sort of.
While the concept of the film reel as the P is not bad, I don't really like the design at this point. Keep looking around for other examples, I guess. I would shrink the size of the 'S' though. It visually distracts from the film reel, which should be the focus.
You could find a photo of one and then trace over it to make a slightly stylized version for logo use.
Guys, check out my awesome new logo Jargon made for me! ![]()
