Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Very nice. I escpecially like the bookshelves, and the Atlantean Keys on the wall. Can you I use your sofa design...?

I like it!   The bookshelves and the furniture are great.  I do think the desk is too big and that you should make it a lot smaller, but aside from that it looks good.

Sure!  I'm pretty sure I got that design out of the LEGO ideas book, or at least modified it.  I'm glad you like it!

You have a lot of lego books. mini/jaw
I might also have to try my hand at that couch.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Nice looking set. The removable walls are really the most important feature, cause the size with the walls up provides little space. But the interior is very well designed. I personally like how you've done the bookshelf. mini/smile

You can do anything, just have fun while doing it.

Here's the Temple of Kauket from Caden Hawke.

It looks a bit threadbare, but I'm blacking out the areas around it in post-production. Maybe.

EDIT: Just before filing with this, I decided to remove the snakes on top. You wouldn't have been able to see them in the final video anyway.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I created the Cornucopia from The Hunger Games. I might use it in a video or not.

Here's a set I'm making for my Halloween film.

The lighting in the film will be MUCH darker compared to these images.
I built that set around this set...

I really like the stuff outside...love that "lab" look to it mini/bigsmile !  I like the outside part better than the inside...the inside seems a little too bland.  Maybe add a few greeblies to the walls.  I know they will both look better darker mini/devil !  Good job, can't wait for the film!

The inside was the set from last year, it will be updated. I might post pictures of it when I'm done.

Ok.  I know that'll be awesome!  Keep it up!

I loved your last Halloween film, FS. So, I bet this one will be just as good. mini/wink

Here's a set I've been working on for a couple days:

And a full picture of the set:

I'd love some critique!

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Job well done! Though the ninja's face is a tad out of focus. The house is nice, try adding a chimney consisting of 1x1 round tube bricks so that the roof doesn't look too flat. Other than those few thing it's great. mini/smile

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Very nice job! I love the way you made a teensy house to make it look like it's in the background.
If I had one criticism it would be about the fence, as it looks a bit awkward. Perhaps if the top part was made of smooth plates, or if the posts were skinnier. IDK, it's not that bad.
Good job! mini/cat

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Thanks, guys!
@1011Ev: The ninja's face doesn't really need to be in focus, this was just a set test shot. Anyway, see about adding a chimney, but I don't have a whole lot of versatile dark blue pieces.

@Topit: I've got loads of long white plates, so it won't be a problem to add a smooth layer. Should I add a smooth layer on top of the existing fence, or replace the existing top layer?

About the house, I really like to use smaller models to make it look farther away. It really adds something to a bigger shot.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I feel like either would look fine. However what would look truly awesome would be the round canister lookin things with flat plates on top. IDK, the one you've got already has a certain charm to it but it's kind of weird next to the road. I feel like that kind of fence should be in a cow pasture or something.
