Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Isaac... I really like that frame. I love the overall style and colors (or lack thereof) in it. Cool.

I think the style/colors of the video/photo are quite awesome. They made your video quite unique in comparison to other brickfilms and that's a good thing mini/smile

Now that I watched it, I'll agree with larry, that the coloration made the video stand out, and went with the theme.
Good job. mini/smile

Pretty nice mini/smile
Simple but effective. And now I've said something about the pic, I'll watch the trailer.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Nicely framed, and the color correction adds a good mood.

Nice frames Olson, do you think we could see the first frame unedited?

I post more frames on the Insomniac Animations Facebook page, so you should go like the page if you're into that sort of thing.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Overall, I like it, but I find the light flares shining through a few of the holes somewhat distracting.  Also, the thing on the extreme right that is partially cut off from the picture looks a bit odd.  Of course, if it's meant to be like that, then that's fine.  It would be good to have some context, though, so we can evaluate the scene more accurately.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

I just saw some of the frames on facebook, and they look smashing! Are you making another music video?
Although, if this takes place at a sort of concert I wouldn't think that they would have so many lights in the background if it's apparently daytime. So I would suggest either doing the ambient light or the background light, otherwise it looks kind of off. Most of your frames don't have this, but the one you've posted and the one with the trumpet people are the two that slightly bother me. But if the film is good, which I am guessing it will be great, then this does not matter too much.

PS: Sorry, I don't have a face book account. If I did I would totally vote for your profile. mini/smile

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Thanks.

I'm confused by your comment, though. Why doesn't a combination of background and ambient light make sense?

Here's a shot from my new 30-sec Spidey trailer. It's coming together.

Tell me what you think, please!

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

It looks like the shot this is a part of is going to be really cool, and I like the composition, the moon behind Spidey is nice, although it's pretty much right in the center, which I'm not a huge fan of, being a photography nerd. The quality of the background image isn't great, but I'm guessing that the shot goes by so fast that doesn't matter, as with the centered moon. I also like the the use of out of socket arm, it emphasizes the swinging well. mini/smile

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

NXT: I like the picture quite a bit (nice quality and masking), but there appears to be a bit of rainbow lighting in the middle, to the right of the middle guy. I don't know if that's supposed to be there or not (it might be part of the lens flare or something).

Filmyguy: Looks nice, although, like was said, the background isn't the highest quality, and Spiderman appears a little out of focus as well (I think). mini/confused
