Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film
Umm I do believe this thread is to post frames so that people can critique you. To make it better.
There's a clear difference between "critiquing" and "scrutiny"

True.
I thought it was critique. If he were nitpicking about how many books there were and colors of books next to each other, then I think it'd be excessive; however, as it is now, he is simply critiquing several different aspects of the frame. Nothing wrong with that, especially because there's generally not many people who comment and critique these things.

I second this.
Well I think Pritchard's comments were mostly fine. It's critique people, you may not like it or it may "insult" you a little, but don't take it too personal. Look at it and see if there really is some truth in what the person is saying instead of discounting it immediately. Lechnology seemed to go off on Pritchard unnecessarily. At least be kind about it instead of being rude. Pritchard's comments did seem to go a little overboard when he got into the actual reasonings behind the characters personality and why the object on the floor was wrong. Seeing as none of us have seen Lechnology's film yet, we don't know about the characters or the plot. This thread I thought was about critiquing the frame itself in aspects such as framing, lighting, placement, etc. The comments about characters and those things should probably wait until the film is released and then can be brought up in the Releases forum.
I too think a table or something, even if only partially shown, would make the frame look more complete
Perhaps have some natural framing with some objects that are close to the camera and out of focus.

This is getting a tad bit off topic people. How about someone post a new frame. ![]()
Here's on for ya:
I believe clicking it will make it bigger.
I'm not sure why it came out slightly blurred, I had it on a very slow shutter speed because I didn't really have enough light and I didn't want to turn the ISO up, but I had it on a tripod, so it shouldn't have come out blurred. Maybe I didn't focus well or something. Oh well. Tell me what ya'll think!
The camera could have moved slightly on the tripod, that's happened to me in the world of normal photography.
@Realm of the Unreel, Looks nice, I like the stream design, and nice depth of field.
Thanks! I'm really glad you can tell its a stream ![]()

Looks pretty cool. I really like your set design for the lab.
I like the lighting a bunch. The quality is nice and clear.
Only thing I dislike is the cone on the device the guy is holding is pretty massed up. I'd recommend separating such bricks from undamaged bricks, and not having them in films.

The device is supposed to be "home made" so I left that on there to indicate heat damage and weathering. Didn't want it too look perfect.
Is that Pikachu in the backround
? Nice frame Btw!

You have to wait until enough people give critique to Larry's pic. ![]()
