Don't listen to anyone and just see the film. I thought it was amazing. 4.8/5
@rusty, yea, or listen to us, i reckon, Batman begins was 8.5/10, TDK: 10/10 and rises 12.5/10 < but thats just me....
Tron: Legacy
This is a really silly movie.
I want to commit suicide.
People either loved or hated that movie, I really hope there is no flame war approaching.
I recognized that the plot was extremely clunky as were the characters and dialogue, but visually, the film was a work of art, and as far as entertainment goes it was a blast to watch. The art-direction and music were completely spot-on, as was the cinematography (for the most part. There were quite a few flubs though.)
If the original purpose of film is entertainment, why watch something generally considered "sophisticated" and/or complex instead of watching something for fun?
Roger: Don't commit suicide. You have the right to your own opinion. As do everybody who don't like the film. 
Yeah lol, I won't. I understand that, don't get me wrong, everyone can have their own opinion. It's still my favorite movie though

I enjoyed Tron Legacy, personally but it seems like the type of movie some people would hate, so I can be cool with that. I wouldn't have called the story bad, but not amazing either. And I know people do seem to hate eye-candy around here, but every once and a while it can be nice to indulge yourself a little in it's sugary goodness.
well, I liked the visuals in tron, I would rate it better then either of the 2 transformer movies I've seen(1 &2)

The Night Of The Hunter
An interesting movie, I liked it, but it ended rather abruptly, in my opinion.

The cinematography in this is a big step up from the other ones, bordering on eye candy (the good kind).

...I'm sorry, but that's a terrible argument. Even if we disregard the role plot plays in creating an entertaining film (subjective, obviously, but I found Tron: Legacy incredibly boring because of the nonsensical story), when did it become law that the original purpose of an object is better than its evolution? Beyond that, how many films have you watched from the inception of the medium? There were a lot of early directors who wouldn't agree that a simple film is a fun film.
OK that's your opinion and you are completely free to think that. I am not forcing any views on anybody at all.
Despite the numerous faults I loved the movie TRON Legacy and anything you say will not change my opinion.
Now I will be withdrawing from posting anything else about the film because it will morph into a full-scale flame war about a silly movie.
I'm not telling you to change your opinions, I'm disagreeing with your argument in defense of mindless films. Understand that I'm not flaming you; you're free to feel however you feel as well. I want to present my viewpoint so you understand it. Past that, you can decide what you believe is correct. There's nothing wrong with discourse.
There isn't any malice here, I just think this is the kind of thing that should be discussed on a filmmaking website.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)
I love this movie. It's just so intriguing to learn about this special boy (even though it's made up). And, it amazes me how they did the special makeup effects on the child actors in the beginning (they should have had a making-of/special feature for that). I also had no idea that Tilda Swinton was Daisy as an old woman; she did so well! I could feel the tears coming at the end, but it didn't happen.
There were also some parts that I could automatically predict that would happen. Like, for example, when
Benjamin learns that Queenie died.
I just said to myself, "I told you so!". I could tell because,
basically, everyone in this movie dies. And maybe even Caroline died, probably when Katrina destroys the city.
I also thought it was a little "gross" when,
in 1918, when they showed Benjamin being born with a really wrinkled face.
But, it was a wonderful movie, with a great story (I haven't read the book). Absolutely wonderful.

The Dark Knight
In the second half of the movie, everything gets better.
I saw it with my father, he..."helped" me notice the physical impossibilities of some scenes. And the stupidity of some people. Yes, a huge truck defying the law of gravity is still spectacular, but,
right at the beginning, when the clowns give the hand granades to those guys...couldn't they just throw it back at them, or far away?
Also, it's such a pleasure watching the joker on screen. Too bad Heath Ledger died.
For the rest, I repeat, the second half it's almost a masterpiece. I wouldn't say best movie ever, but on the field of superhero films, it's maybe the best I've seen. Looking forward to "The Dark Kinght Rises" when it comes out here. 4/5

No one's being rude here. People are just stating their opinions, and that's that. Obviously not everyone can like a movie.
