Horror of the Blood Monsters
They screened this in the theatre and it was awesome. The whole room was laughing the entire time.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I saw Twelve O'Clock High (1949) this morning and Rambo - First Blood II yesterday. Didn't really like any of those two. The first movie was pretty boring and slow. I didn't think Rambo II had any good action in it.

Very true. However, Bane is an interesting villain and Nolan did well making the film to suit his style. Personally, who would you have cast as the major villain? I'd like to have seen a new Penguin.

I don't think Penguin would have fit into Nolan's Batman Universe.  It had to be a villain who could be grounded into reality, hence why Bane was chosen (Though his character was still changed to fit in the universe)

The Penguin can be quite the psychopath, though his image might be a little too cartoon-y.

Nolan said why he didn't choose The Riddler (it was his first choice but then he changed it to Bane): he felt that The Riddler was too much of a character like the Joker. He was insane, he liked to play with his victims in strange ways, etc. And I totally agree with that.

I loathe Jim Carrey so I would always be happy to see a new Batman film featuring a re-imagining of the Riddler. I enjoyed the two series of Sherlock, which I think could be similar to Batman attempting to figure out the Riddler's puzzles. It would also show Batman more as a detective, which - although he has had to solve problems in the Nolan universe - could be very interesting, having a Batman film with a more detective-based theme to it.

Scarface. I've always loved the idea of Scarface and the Ventriloquist, it would make an excellent movie.

Yes. That character is fantastic.

I don't make Brickfilms. I trade virtual hats.

The Amazing Spider
I thought it was a great movie overall. There was some comedy and a lot of action! I would totally recommend this film. But sadly I did not get to see it in 3-D I was hoping to but... it was still good. I think the original wasn't as good but just by a 10th of 1. I rate this movie... Dununununununun 4/5!

Super 8
I thought it was okay not the best it started okay got better then a bit worse. I really thought the Zombie movie in the credits was scarier. :/ yeah so here is my rating: 3/5

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Man In The Ironmask (1977) and The Mechanic (2011) both were decent movies.

I also saw the movie Chronicle (2012), it was pretty good.

Pretty awesome. Though

why would Dr. Connors set the machine that distributes the reptile gas to 2 minutes? And if it needed warmup time, why not warm it up on the way up the building?

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Cars 2

first off, I thought the first Cars was the least great Pixar movie, still, it's a good film I thought, but below Pixar's typically high standards. So, naturally, I wasn't too excited when they were making a sequel, but I still wanted to see it since it still was Pixar.
After seeing it, I can say with a high degree of certainty that I enjoyed it far more than the original Cars. The first one was more of a sport type movie, something which I don't usually enjoy, whilst Cars 2 was more of an adventure. I also like that they flipped the main characters around, having it be about Matter, and having Lightning be only a side character.  That was interesting. Plus it had some excellent CGI, nice animation, cool music, funny jokes, good voice acting, and some great, and extremely over-the-top action scenes.

I still dislike the whole idea of talking cars. It just seems ridiculous in a bad way. But it's still a good film, yet slightly below most other Pixar films.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Dark Knight Rises

This is the best (overall) film of the trilogy, in my opinion.

However, I still think the Joker was the best villain mini/wink

Great job Chris Nolan!

Brave (2012)

In my opinion, this is the worst Pixar movie. It's plot has way too many twists and turns, I was really confused at the end. Hopefully, the next Pixar film will be better. mini/tongue

Just being confused at the end doesn't make it a bad film.

(My 6 year old cousin saw it, and she understood all of it and loved it.)

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

It's the most kiddish Pixar movie ever made. I didn't like the plot at all. The visuals are pretty much the only strong point of the entire movie. In my opinion, at least.

What About Bob? (1991)

Hilarious. This is a great movie, even if it is older than me.

Stranger Than Fiction (2006)

Warning to anyone who has yet to see this film: this isn't your normal Will Ferrell comedy. It was still a good film, though. A good cast and all. mini/smile

8.2/10

The Karate Kid (1984)

It was a good movie, but I felt that the director (John G. Avildsen of Rocky) got, pretty much, the same idea. Guy starts fighting, gets girl, wins fight. I dunno.

Plus, I'm not exactly a huge fan of "teen romance". mini/tongue

Great, fabulous movie. I loved it.

Mandie and the Cherokee Treasure
Had some serious flaws. First off, there were way too many of the "silent conversations," where two people know what each other is thinking. mini/blankexpression And the bat effects were horrible. And the story got wierd at the very end (Major spoiler):

Spoiler (click to read)

In the first Mandie movie (Mandie and the Secret Tunnel), Mandie's lives with her father and a stepmother, who she is lead to believe is her real mother. Then her father dies and Mandie runs away to her uncle John's house because the stepmother doesn't love her. She finds out that her stepmother isn't her real mother, and her real mother, ,Elizabeth, was split from the dad because of her grandmother. In the second movie, John, Elizabeth, and Mandie go to see the grandmother and they forgive the her because of some lame excuse about the Mom loving John, not the real father. Then, oh so passionately, she realizes that she did love the uncle more than the father, and the movie ends. *Major facepalm*

28 days later
Ok, at first, I thought it would be bad like almost every zombie movie, but it was the opposite. It was the fact that the infected humans were still living things is what made it a really good movie and not trash. Oh, and the music is just incredible.

Brave
Finally got around to seeing this, and it was pretty awesome. It wasn't Pixar's best film, but it was a great film nonetheless. The animation was fantastic, and it was better than I expected.

Sorry for bringing this up again, but Mickey, how the heck did you get confused? There was absolutely nothing that that could be considered confusing.
