For my ideal office
-Private office area separate from room
-Large corner desk
-Several monitors and TV screens
-Special station for my laptop
-Special station for spare computers (but still on the desk)
-Separate Animation Area with green screen backdrop, that can have other backdrops in front
-Rebel EOS with 15MM Macro Lens
(Alternative Name: Office that will NEVER happen )
I haven't made anything since '03, but I've been thinking about animating again.
My (Reasonable) Set Up:
Large, stable table for animating
Daylight balanced fluorescent bulbs for overhead & table lamps
Gray card for white balancing
Manfrotto tripod with level
Basic LEGO bricks
Western-themed LEGO bricks (planning on a 15 minute Western film...someday...)
Microphone for voice-work (still looking for the right one)
DIY recording area (probably four large pieces of cardboard with foam attached)
Unreasonables:
Canon 7D
Canon lenses (14mm F2.8, 28mm F1.8, 50mm F1.4)
Sigma 85mm F1.4 lens
(*Would get full-frame lenses in case I use the Canon 5D Mark II)
Follow focus (Shoot35.com)
CINEbox with barndoors and ND filters (Shoot35.com)
15mm rails support if needed (Shoot35.com)

I would probably end up choosing the Canon 60D over the Canon 7D. It's cheaper, has a moveable LCD screen, and doesn't overheat like the Canon 7D does.
For lenses, I would consider Canon mount FD lenses with an FD to EOS adapter (28mm F2.8, 50mm F1.8, 35-70mm F4, 80-200 F4, or something like that). They're pretty cheap on eBay.
