Re: Karate... thing

Not bad, but here is some advice.

The cameras position was bland, a simple side-angle which was consistent throughout the clip. I'd recommend throwing a few medium close up shots in there which are slightly tilted upwards at the character. This makes the character seem big and powerful. Here is an example of this shot click here

The clip was also framed too high leaving a gap of headroom. If you look at examples of fight scenes you notice that it's framed and focused at the head and torso area, which is the area of action.

Frame One: Spam Police 2
Frame Two: The Profession

The fight itself to me wasn't a fight. The topless character was capable of fending off attacks from his opposition with one arm while the other remained still. There was no struggle shown and the topless character effortlessly pushed his opposition from his feet. I'd recommend you look at some fight scenes and study the body posture under different circumstances.

I hope I've helped, It's difficult to explain things when you're not physically there.

Re: Karate... thing

Pretty good, but I have to agree with what has been said earlier. The 1 camera angle used was rather bland. Don't be afraid to cut to different angles. Cutting quickly can add a sense of action.
