Topic: Snow?

So hey, does anyone have any good ideas for how to pull off snow?
Preferably something that can be walked in, so as to leave tracks in the snow.
Not to fluffy, like cotton wool and not to powdery or sandy either.
What's the best material? Does anyone have any suggestions/success stories?

Re: Snow?

I found a number of topics that might have some advice.

I personally have never animated snow, but I hope you can find a solution in these topics. mini/smile

EDIT: this guy actually used real snow!!

Re: Snow?

Here is a good tutorial Aquamorph made about how to do snow in a brickfilm.
This is for falling snow. If you want snow on the ground, you will have to use some kind of white powder or sugar.
I would recommend using white sand.

Re: Snow?

Yes to specify - I'm talking about snow that's already on the ground here. Falling snow is not the problem.

Re: Snow?

A couple years ago I was in the shop Harrods in England and they were selling this fake snow stuff, it was great. I recommend you search for this fake snow toy, its easy to get, probably cheap and the effect will look great!
