This is for falling snow. If you want snow on the ground, you will have to use some kind of white powder or sugar.

I personally have never animated snow, but I hope you can find a solution in these topics. :)

			<description><![CDATA[So hey, does anyone have any good ideas for how to pull off snow?
Preferably something that can be walked in, so as to leave tracks in the snow.
Not to fluffy, like cotton wool and not to powdery or sandy either. 
What's the best material? Does anyone have any suggestions/success stories?]]></description>
