Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

Doc looks good except black legs would be better, and you need to remove the random black line on his chin.
But I don't know the rest well enough to offer much help on them. mini/confused

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

The version it's based of has grey pants on, I don't really like how he turned out, especially the head, but at least it's way better then my previous version...

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

I know you'll be shocked when you read this, so you may want to make sure that you're sitting down! mini/tongue

Even though I believe that when possible, accuracy is the #1 thing with minifigs, when changing it would make it look or match better, you should always go that route. So despite the source material having grey pants, the black would both look and match better to the overall color scheme of the fig.

That being said, I think it's one of your best figs, and with the change of pants, and removal of the random stripe, it would become really, really good.

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

With out the random strip he doesn't have a jaw. mini/tongue  I kinda like the grey pants but that's just Me. I have been making some Dc characters not based on any specific costume, just their not finished yet...

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

I like your Talon minifig, although I think his eyes are just a tad small. And it's nice to see Dr P getting some love - he's a great Batman villain, but everyone seems to forget him. If you use him for a Brickfilm, I'd suggest trying to make the yellow elements glow in post, and maybe adding smoky yellow wisps as well, just for effect. I think black trousers probably would work better, but hey - it's your minifigure!

Which other DC characters are you making?

EDIT: Have you seen any of Josh L's decals? http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=331488
He has some great ones which I've used on more than one occasion.

EDIT2: Also, I'm trying to do a totally purist Ant-Man (one of the most undersold Avengers), and I've got the body done, but I need to make the helmet, or something that looks like it. Here's what it looks like. The Wasp is much easier to do -I really just need to make that helmet. Any ideas anyone?

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

Thank's! I'm making a Lego Batman vidya and He will be in it, though the main villain will be Doctor Death. (props to any one that actually know who He is.) I've seen Josh's decal's, but i like making my own. (most of the time mini/shifty )
And I'm working on Wonder Women (New 52) & Batgirl (Stephanie)

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

Wouldn't those go in the "Sets and Props" thread?

'Cuz they ain't minifigs, no matter how you look at 'em.
(They do look pretty cool though.)

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

I debated about that, actually, but I decided to put them here. They would be heartbroken if we called them "props".

Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*

I don't really know enough about Portal to talk about accurateness. (I know enough to know their from portal mini/eh )

I like them, though the cone piece on the right one looks kinda out of place, (It might be like that in the game, I don't know, or maybe you just wanted a conehead robot. mini/tongue )

The quality there is pretty bad. The design's OK, but then I know absolutely nothing about, um, is it Marvel or DC? mini/confused
