Definitly true... but I would still not "like" it, if you get what I mean. mini/smile

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

I think having Batman die might make the movie even better, provided it was done right. What Batman said in Trailer 3 seemed to be hinting at the ultimate sacrifice: death. That would be a very dramatic ending. But then again, can one really kill Batman? Haha mini/lol

I agree.

I love the Batman series because Bruce Wayne is not an invincible superhero.

I think we'll see his back broken but not him die.

Spider-man Trailer #2
Whoa, looks great, and I'm still holding out hope that it's clean enough.

Just found out that the most epic, Isaac Asimov book/series, "foundation" is being "made" into a movie.

I've read Foundation and Foundation and Empire (hoping to get my hands on Second Foundation soon). I loved both, though I'm not sure if it's movie material, as the different Seldon crisises are set years apart, each time focusing on entirely different characters. What's your source?

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

Isn't Roland Emmerich directing?

That was a rhetorical question. I know Roland Emmerich is directing and I'm not very happy about it. That said, I've not read the Foundation series yet.]

BUMP!

Kids-in-Mind.com has posted their content summery for The Amazing Spider-man. It has just enough that stuff I'm not sure if it's good, but just little enough to give it a teeny-tiny chance. That was just what I was hoping wouldn't happen. mini/frustrated

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

I'm hoping that it's better than what it looks like in text. This one is supposed to be more true to the comic. mini/smile

Wow! Les Miserables is being made into a movie. Oh, but it's from the director of The King's Speech. Yikes, this should be interesting. mini/twitch

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

Well, Les Miserables has been made into a movie lots of times, probably more than any other book, that I know.

<EDIT: None of what I had previously said was conducive to this discussion>

I read somewhere that Les Miserables is considered to be one of the greatest books of the 19th century.

Ooh, another Russell Crowe Classic.
And Sacha Baron Cohen...!?!
And Tom Hooper...
Looks great!

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

The amazing Spiderman was a really awesome movie, my opinion of course.
I think it would be cool if he joined in The Avengers 2 (being scripted now, I heard)
I read through Facebook that they are making a new Spiderman trilogy. This was the first one!
I thought that was awesome news. The movie was more comic true than the other Spiderman movies
(I have just read a bit of it since it isnt much sold in Norway, but I have seen almost everything of the TV series).
I enjoyed this and loads of other Marvel movies.
I am also looking forward to the Xmen Deadpool movie they started to make after the actor played in Green Lantern.
I dont know if the Deadpool one is completely true, though..

Welp, it's official, I can't believe Koepp and Lucas actually have a plot for a fifth film. I bet it's gonna be like "Indy joins the Vietnam War and is killed, so Mutt must follow in his father's footsteps!"... mini/confused

An IMDB page an official announcement does not make. IMDB's content is user-generated, so it can be unreliable - especially when it comes to movies early in pre-production.

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

No one talking about Man of Steel yet? I'm not a huge superhero fan (except for Batman), but I'm wondering if a new Superman movie would be good. Sounds like it has some good people working on it (including Christopher Nolan).

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

Intriguing. I saw the trailers in FBTB, and was waiting for someone to post them here so I could comment on them.

Anyway, my first reaction was:
"There're trying to make Superman gritty like The Dark Knight saga? That's gotta be the stupidest idea that I ever heard of! Superman is all about a flashy, showy, and bright fight scene where he beats the snot out of Lex Luther. This'll never work."

Then I saw the trailer and thought:
"Hmmm, what's this? A commercial for Deadliest Catch? Oh wait, it's for Superman....Wow, that flying was pretty cool!"

Then after the fourth viewing of each trailer:
"Wish it had more details, but it still looks pretty cool! The teaser worked and now I really want to see more. Can't wait to see if it's clean!"

I think it's a neat concept, and I like how they used LOTR music in the teaser. I'll be keeping an eye on it.
By the way, the other teaser only has a different voice over, but it's still worth linking to.
