Re: YouTube

@Jampot I don't really remember much what happens in the beginning cause it's been over a year but I do remember that it takes some time to be confirmed that you're a partner. Did you accept the contract and stuff? Cause after that I had to wait like a day or something to get the access to the features that were much cooler back then, with these new layouts I don't think there are any proper features at all. Maybe only that watch icon that people see when their watching your video on the watch page.

Re: YouTube

I filled out the form ages ago, it's just that they've finally actually accepted it.

The only info I got in the email was this:

Congratulations JampotAnimations,

Welcome to the YouTube Partner Programme! As a YouTube Partner, you can gain access to resources that help you improve your skills, build larger audiences and monetise your videos. You must have at least one monetised video to be a YouTube Partner.

As a first step, we encourage you to opt in to receiving the latest Partner product and programme updates through the Email Options tab in your account settings. This will help us notify you of new skill-building and promotional opportunities.

Finally, you can visit the Creator Hub to learn about the latest Partner news and other resources.

Have fun and good luck.

The YouTube Partner Team

So if there's an additional contract I need to sign, I don't have a clue where it is.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to put that there isn't anything new in the Email Options tab.

Re: YouTube

Honestly, the only reason I would even want to be a partner is so I could get those banner things. I don't want ads on my videos.

Oh, and on the upload section of my/anyones Youtube it says you can monetise your videos and grow your audience; Become a Youtube Partner TODAY!
Surely that means anyone can become a partner then? mini/dizzy

Re: YouTube

Basically. It's part of their new initiative.

Re: YouTube

Noticed a good uptick in views recently, and I am getting twice as many female viewers then usual. Hopefully my channel has recovered from the curse that is Cosmic Panda.

Re: YouTube

On Friday I got over 5100+ views per day which was really awesome since I haven't achieved this for a month now. I guess the views are truly getting back after the Cosmic Panda fiasco.

Re: YouTube

No no no stop it, we don't want to hear you spouting stats. This topic is for discussion, not just throwing numbers into the air. It's somewhat acceptable if you've just passed a major milestone (1, 1000, 1000000) but otherwise please don't do it. It just bogs everything down. If we wanted to know how many subscribers you have we could just go to your YouTube channel.

Re: YouTube

Easy Bruce, Hulk doesn't suit you.

Anyway has anyone encountered YouTube users who state they've "hacked" YouTube to allow themselves to put spaces in their names? Here is an example.

I then decided to visit his channel only to notice that the URL address was rather odd.

Have you encountered anything like this?

Re: YouTube

I think it's Google+. Now you can synch your Google+ account with your YouTube account, your Google+ username becomes your YouTube username.

I'm pretty sure that's how it goes, I don't have Google+ so I wouldn't know!

Youtube is probably encouraging everyone to apply for partnership in order to find some more partners. I highly doubt that anyone can be a partner though, however I have this account (my old account ShadowManStudios) and I still have copyright issues with it (like 3-4 videos with copyrighted music) and I even had to take down one or two videos long time ago and even that account has that ad invitation to become a partner.

Even if we can, it's probably best not to let YouTube take advantage of everyone. Of course, private businesses, like Lionsgate and NIKE, can "automatically" get into the program. But, unless we wanna end up like He Who Shall Not Be Named or some- thing, than do what you please. mini/confused

I just started my "RobTFilms" youtube account a few months ago. I barely have 200+ views. It seems youtube could pick up anyone and pay them money. Something about getting an AdSense account. mini/confused
