Especially with the price of LEGO so High now-a-days I think it might be useful for a topic about LEGO sets that you might want. you can ask whether they're good for the price and good for brickfilmng.
I've been craving the Robber hide out LEGO city set:
but it's $40 so I'm not sure its worth the cash. any advice?
I want that set badly.

That is a very nice set with very unique pieces. I do not have it myself but most certainly would not mind having it.
however that Price tag is certainly something. my personal opinion is that a set more then $50 gets into a little to much for a toy. however us as Brickfilmers are not using LEGOs purely as toys and if you have the money I would say that that set is worth looking at when at your local LEGO store

This set is honestly amazing, and completely worth $100, especially considering the number of pieces. It's a price per brick that is almost impossible to get anywhere else, and the set itself as a whole is completely worth $100, IMO.

What does the interior look like though?
MMV is one of the best single sets ever made for brickfilmers, it has many pieces, lots of figures, and a lot of tools/weapons. It has 1,601 pieces, 8 figures, 2 cows, a horse, a cooked turkey/chicken thing, and two fantastic buildings, and all for $100. BUT you better buy it fast, as it's all but discontinued. It doesn't have many special prints that restrict the parts use, and no windshields, laser cannons, or other hard to use parts, and....and...Wait, why am I trying to sell this to you? 
I would get that if you can, it's a great set.
As for the Robber's Hideout, unless you're planning on doing a lot of Cops and Robbers type of videos, I wouldn't recommend it. Yes, it has two rangers, two robbers, and is the cheapest set with the bear. But the set really can't be re-used well. It has some "brick-profile" bricks, and some of the 2X4 "Log" bricks, as well as some rock elements, but not enough of each to be much help in set-building. And then there's the car elements that can't really be used for anything but a car. And the piece count isn't that good either. If you're wanting specific parts or figs, Bricklink would be a lot cheaper.
But, I don't know what you're wanting with the set, so this may turn out to be perfect for your needs.
If not, then I'd at least wait until someone has it on sell.

okay thanks. I mostly wanted it for the bear and the interesting Mini figure printing and of course the hat. what you say makes sense and now I want that Market Village set even more now. Thanks

For everyone who has been talking about robbers hideout, I have it, and it is not great for brickfilming. I will eventually use the bear though!
Let me tell you. I wanted everything that I saw yesterday. I went to the Mall of America in Saint Paul and look at this!

I'm considering getting these two sets, but I'm not entirely sure, mainly because they're rather expensive for what they offer and I'm quite cash-strapped at the moment.
I mainly want to get these because of the parts (like the microfigs) and the minifigs... (especially the SW ones, which I predict will skyrocket in price once this set is discontinued. 
)
On the whole, though, these are quite low on my LEGO Shopping List (due to the factors listed above). I still hope to get Anakin's Jedi Interceptor, the Desert Skiff, and Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape--and that's not even including some of the upcoming 2013 sets, which look great as well--so I'm not even sure if I'll get a chance to get them... 
What do you think, yay or nay?
