Topic: Change Color test

Basically, I don't have any brown bricks and I'm too cheap to buy any, so I tried this out.

I'm fairly pleased with the result, though if I want to use this it means that my lighting options are very limited.

Re: Change Color test

Look great! But do you have to do this manually for each frame or do you use something like After Effects?

Re: Change Color test

Looks pretty good! The only things that I notice are the red edges that are scene on some of the bricks on the wall, the studs on the table, and the figure itself. Depending on how you are doing this you may be able to get rid of those I would think. How are you going about this? It looks like a really great idea!

That's very effective mini/smile

Re: Change Color test

Yeah, true. I think if I play around with it a little more I can get rid of that. Or if I really were to use this I'll probably use a lot of close-ups to make the effect easier to apply. I used After Effects for this, which has a 'Change Color' option.

Wow, that look really good mini/smile And this can be done with virtually any color, I guess

I have just released Indiana Jones and the Mystical Gemstone, you can watch it here!

Depends. For example I couldn't have had a yellow background because that would have changed the minifigure's face as well. The higher the contrast between the element you want to change and the ones you don't, the better it'll work I think.

Re: Change Color test

Yeah, of course, unless you create a mask manually around the things you wanna keep... Painstaking work mini/smile
