Coda seems to be a nice alternative for Mac users.

I just started making a Google site, but realized it's too basic. What should I go with? A blog? Webs.com?

There are different types of code that will work in unison with others. You should start by learning HTML. http://www.w3schools.com/ Is a good resource, however the more complex tutorials contain some errors according to http://w3fools.com/.

Is there a web host that supports html, css, javascript, asp, php, and asp.net for free?
I know it's a lot to ask.
I myself use http://www.000webhost.com which gives a lot of freedom and has support for all of the above.
