Detective Marty Marlowe gets more than he bargained for while investigating a shooting. This is sort of an Abduction spin-off, set in the same world but with different characters.

Re: [THAC 9] Green Eye

I loved it, the twist was really well thought out.

Re: [THAC 9] Green Eye

Clever, the plot was well developed and the end surprised me. There was room for interpretation, and it all came together well.

Re: [THAC 9] Green Eye

I couldn't tell if this was a side story to the Abduction films.

I really liked it, it wasn't the most original storyline, but the technical aspects certainly made up for it.

Good work.

Man, I really liked it. When the detective was just staring at the mugs, it hit me. I never expected that. A really good short by itself. Animation, sets, lighting, were all superb. Amazing job! mini/smile

You can do anything, just have fun while doing it.

Re: [THAC 9] Green Eye

Outstanding. Though I feel as if I've seen this type of plot from somewhere... perhaps it's just the fact that I've watched this so many times. You have a good chance of getting first.

Re: [THAC 9] Green Eye

Great maybe first!

Re: [THAC 9] Green Eye

Pretty cool. mini/smile The lighting was really, really good, and the plot was interesting and kinda cool for something made in such a short time period. I'm always so amazed by what people can do in so short a time.

Though I was kinda disappointed by the main guy's double sided face. mini/confused It really shouldn't be used unless you have a hat/wig to cover their "alter ego"

Re: [THAC 9] Green Eye

Perhaps my favorite out of all the THAC entries so far. Nick Durron, you are turning into one of my favorite animators of all time.

He has.

But this was, as always with you, perfect!
The Abduction videos are all great, and this was no exception!

That was really cool.  Excellent animation, great sets, and nice plot.  The twist at the end was brilliant.  Good work! mini/smile

Re: [THAC 9] Green Eye

you need to make a lighting tutorial!

Re: [THAC 9] Green Eye

Yeah I'm digging the cinematography, particularly considering you did this all in 24 hours. The smash-cut transitions between the scenes are pretty cool, too, and something I've not seen in a brickfilm before. I like that you took a different approach to the 'Abduction' universe this time.

Re: [THAC 9] Green Eye

Thanks everyone! Looks like I'll have to plan that lighting tutorial for after I do the face animation tutorial I've been meaning to do for several years...

I agree. I did another film with a head like that, and I switched it out for another head every time he turned around, but I was in too much of a hurry to think about that here.

Thanks. I just watched Hot Fuzz recently and thought that would be an interesting thing to try.

Re: [THAC 9] Green Eye

That was honestly awesome, dude. You make great dark brickfilms.
