It was more than "good" for me. I loved it,
though I wonder, why didn't spike grow wings too? The other dragons had them.
So the next episode is supposed to be Christmas-esque.
Does this mean a jazz/big band number?
Well, the singing voice actress for Pinkie Pie has confirmed that she has a song in the Christmas episode. I dunno if it'll be particularly jazzy, but I guess we can always hope.
The next Pinkie Pie song is fantastic, but not Jazzy (it was leaked). Though if it's the leaked one, I don't see how it would fit in with the Christmas episode... have you got source on that, Squash?

I may be talking out my rump. Thought I remembered reading it on Equestria Daily, but I can't seem to find the post now. It's also possible it was a different actress.

I really want to hear some singing from Celestia (and if so, they'd better not leave out Luna...). In a recent interview on Everfree Radio, Celestia's voice actress was asked if there's a Celestia song coming and she launched into awkward "I cannot confirm or deny" stuff... So I'm hopeful.
That was the sweetest episode ever. 
Man, I REALLY liked this new episode.
I just hope we get an episode covering the Discord era, just because Discord is awesome. Also, it was so awesome (in a grim sorta way?) when Rarity/Dash/Pinkie's characters got frozen. I kinda felt like they should have stayed frozen, though.

That was probably Pinkie's screwiest episode yet.
That Derpy appearance reminded me just how much I love the people who work on this show.
Next to being in the apple-bobbing tub on Nightmare Night, this was probably my favourite Derpy appearance. It didn't feel forced, but obviously a little easter egg.
THe episode did NOT go as I expected... I really wanted more backstory on Luna and Celestia. Still, the episode was good and the writing was solid as always. There are some very interesting implications over Equestria's history to be gleaned form this.
So, currently international fans of the show have no way of acquiring the episodes, and supporting the show.
I made a petition in an attempt to help remedy this.
It would be just dandy if ya'll could sign it.
This post on EQD seems to imply that there will be twenty eight episodes in season two instead of the standard twenty six. Hmm...
I think that might be because the first two episodes (the Discord ones) were lifted from season 1. Although the real question is:

What does that mean? The most likely suggestion I saw was 'song from main characters'.
The guy said that wasn't the solution.
