Re: Brickfilms.com Has Returned?

hali I've told TAAB to contact you regarding the patronage hosting, she should be contacting the rest of the people I was given names for as well regarding theres.

She can have your old site backed up, but I'm unsure if the site will be continued to be hosted on the new Brickfilms.com server, it's not up to me, but I strongly suggest you find hosting quickly. I think this host might cater for your needs:

The last time this happened (when my patron hosting account 'disappeared' at the height of the BF new management takeover) backup files of my hosting account were passed along to me...but not everything was recovered.
And the last 3-4 months of my patron subscription was never refunded back (someone somewhere said I would get a refund and I never did).

Good luck to you guys who lost their patron hosting.

Re: Brickfilms.com Has Returned?

I lost 18 months of Patron Hosting in 2008, remember I'm not responsible at all for this, I didn't manage how the old server was run and I did not do the backups.

I'll do the best I can to get the people who are patrons but it is out of my control.

Re: Brickfilms.com Has Returned?

Update.

I got my website back - as for how... I'll leave that until I know I am safe on a new host (hopefully early next week).

Aled was a massive help. TAAB made stuff happen (such as changing the DNS to point back to the old server which has been resurrected while I get my data).

This means that anyone else who still had active hosting accounts has about 6 days to access their data before the DNS switches back.

Re: Brickfilms.com Has Returned?

My opinion (and no offense to anyone) is forget the old site. Leave the community section if you want to and then provide a link to BiM. I see no sense in keeping two brickfilming sites when we can have everyone united under one. Not trying to be rude or anything. Just making an opinion.

So yeah, I'm back from my mind.

Re: Brickfilms.com Has Returned?

Brickfilms.com is mostly a newbie town nowadays and they should get over here cause there are some talented brickfilmers in here who could help out a lot.

Re: Brickfilms.com Has Returned?

I just looked at BF.com, and I, personally, don't like the art style (as in thumbnails, icons, etc.).

The new design is nice. Mostly for the fact it's like the old brickfilms.com design, and it's much faster. Though I have a huge doubt many people will bother to join the forums with a site like BiM around.

I was just thinkin' that. People have kinda moved on to BIM nowadays. mini/yes
