Topic: Brickfilms.com Has Returned?

Yes, it's true.
Brickfilms.com has returned.

The point I made this thread is because I've seen people talking about it in other threads so why not have a thread focused on it. If you haven't seen the new Brickfilms.com, see it here. And if you never saw the old one, here's a little what it looked like (EDIT: It takes a minute to load so please be patient).

Brickfilms seems to have been cleaned up by Aled Owen and I have to admit, it looks does better.
Any thoughts on how the new BF.com will turn out? Will it become more popular then BiM?

As I hear. Aled is now planning to take down the new Brickfilms.com forums and turn it into a resource site, correct me if I'm wrong.

Eh.

I think it's a bit late.

I doubt many will use Brickfilms dominantly anymore.

Personally, I'll help to try to get more traffic on that site. Aled is doing a good job so far with it, and if he can come to some agreement with Smeagol about merging the two sites together, that would be quite awesome.

It will never be as popular as BiM period. it is just a shadow of its past self (2002-2009), most people have moved on from BrickFilms.com.

I just took a brief look at it.
Seems that barely any people are there, and I find the layout and design of the site displeasing.

I think I'll just stick with BiM. mini/smile

I see no reason to choose one over the other. Both sites have the same basic function, so why not join both.

Both sites seem like duplicates. They have a similar organization, all the members on BF are also members on BIM, and they have simliar topics. BF looks kind of blocky and the colors are darker. Why do we have BF if it serves exactly the same purpose as BIM? Having two similar brickfilming sites is redundant.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Brickfilms.com was the original brickfilming website, and remained uncontested until the ownership was sold to the Adirondack Manufacturing Corporation in 2007, the whole place went down the pan and everyone left.

I know all that, but why was it brought back when we have this site?

TaaB is finically in charge of the site, though Aled is let run the site. Pretty good situation, really.

The new design is nice. Mostly for the fact it's like the old brickfilms.com design, and it's much faster. Though I have a huge doubt many people will bother to join the forums with a site like BiM around.

That's why I'm saying that we should have a merge of the two sites. I don't know if Smeagol is up to it or not, but it would be a nice change. If Aled could convince TaaB to work out some sort of partnership with BiM.
