Topic: Cradles

Hey, I have a digital Mini DV camera, but it doesn't stand up on its own, and i need to find a way to build a lego cradle to hold this camera.

Any suggestions?

Think it would be possible?

Please, could you guys help me? TY in advance.

Persist.

Re: Cradles

Anything is possible with LEGO.

It looks like you want to incase it in a tall shaft of bricks up until the screen. Then cut it short and let the screen stick out. Part of it will then continue up to the top of the camera. Cap it with a plate. You also may need to use plates to get it snug at its correct height.

Here is my new one.

Re: Cradles

Try to build a "box" for it. Find what size bricks fit around what parts of the handle part best. Then put some kind of plate under the "box" to give it a stand to stand on so it wont fall over.

Droids Box = My Shaft

So, make sure there a baseplate on bottom and plate on top.

Re: Cradles

No. NOOOOOO!

What if you knock your tripod? YOU WANT SOMETHING THAT SECURES TO A BASEPLATE!!!

Re: Cradles

It is pretty hard to knock over a tripod, but if you are still afraid, fill a bag or three with sand and put them at the bases of the tripod's legs

Or better yet, carpet. That's what I use. mini/mrgreen
