I did brush it off, but it didn't get all the dust off.

Did you by any chance happen to use a greenscreen for that shot? The sides of the bricks in the window are transparent.

I just finished designing the sound effects for this scene from scratch, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
Now I just need to find out how to make a convincing tire screech...

Yes I did, I didn't cut of the sides from being transparent because I thought it would make cool reflections.

Nice camera angle PanPete, but it's too bright outside the window. I'd suggest putting a piece of paper over your lights to dim them a bit.

The contrast in colors between the light room in front and the darkness of the elevator is intentional.
