Topic: Practice animation - An opening Scene.

Good evening, brickfilmers.
Let's begin.

Well, I haven't made a video that is good in about 10-11 months. The random video I had in April was pure garbage in  can. I had kind of drifted off brickfilming and animating and such, but the other day I was bored, and thought 'Hey, why not make a video?' so I did. It's really flawed due to circumstances such as tiny camera bumps and such. The walking cycle at the beginning is kind of flawed in my opinion. This is because I was trying out a walk that required more frames (I use 15fps) and it didn't seem to work, so I won't use it again. It was a mistake, yes, but you learn from mistakes. There really is no plot or anything to this - It's just practice. Why not upload it? So basically, keeping in mind I'm very rusty after almost a year (pretty much back to square 1) and was trying out a new walk cycle. The sound is also a bit quiet, so turn up your speakers... or headphones. mini/tongue
Anyway, What are your thoughts?
Cheers.

P.S the quality may be a bit bad or it may not load. At the time I'm typing this, I uploaded the video 15 minutes ago.
P.S.S I stopped light flicker, which is brilliant for me. It was a huge burden in a lot of my films. It's quite a good thing, lol.

I don't know. I didn't very like it. Maybe too far from the set and minifigs and the resolution changes once and I hate that thing... But, don't be sad, this is just... video mini/wink

Yeah I agree. One of my favourite Youtubers is Michael Hickox and I wanted it to be soemthing like his. Don't think it worked though, hehe. And yeah I agree about the resolution, I have no idea how that happened. Sorry. Cheers for da crit.

The main problem with the walk cycle is the arms are very jittery. You need to animate them swining back and forth. I've found that a 5-frame walk cycle is good, it's not too slow and not too fast.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: Practice animation - An opening Scene.

Yeah. This was kind of rushed due to time constraints, as well.

Don't rush never, that's very big problem sometimes. I'm sure, 'cause I have experience for that. mini/no mini/sad
