I think differences in camera quality shouldn't cause people to be excluded from the project, seems a little unfair and it won't matter a whole lot, you'll still end up with an enjoyable end product that got the community working together.
Also, I love big bridges.

Also,i'm gonna start making scenes fro the BiM project.
Does an Olympus stylius 7010 qualify? What Bim Project?
The brickfilm project discussed BEFORE we started talking about LEGO boom-de-yada.
Again What Project?
we never decided what animation we are doing.
plus I think everyone has sort of agreed that
you need to be a high enough skill to help.

In that case, would I qualify? ![]()

I think we all have similar questions. ![]()
I don't think it's fair that some people are gonna get missed out, only because of their camera quality.

Oh, it's not just for the camera quality, that's sure. People wouldn't get in for animation, mainly (I guess), or lack of setbuilding skills (by that I mean, you can't just build 3 walls and say it's done, not for a community project), or laziness to do something. But not for camera quality.

I think your camera qualities will be the least of the things keeping you from helping out
like MPfist0 said set building will also play a factor.
I just watched The Day Brickfilms.com Crashed again (and again and again) I think that different animations qualities and styles made it look good
I think that the qualifications should be
1. you need to be able to make good sets
2. you shouldn't have bumpy cameras and/or light flickers (
)
3. you need to give a sample of your antinomian to help the person hosting the project determen you are qualified
4. you need to be able to keep active and motivated. If a project fails because you couldn't bother to film the last part you will not be allowed to help in any other projects
5. you need to have fun

Good job, you figured out what most of us already knew.

This seems rather harsh. What if the situation was unavoidable?
As for ideas for a community project: I was thinking of a sketch show, where each person would contribute a sketch, and they'd be sewn together into one long film.

I was merely summing it up

I said
If a project fails because you couldn't bother to film the last part
the idea is that if someone is lazy and didn't finish so the rest of us suffered he doesn't make the same mistake again
your right though it does sound harsh ![]()
I think everyone should submit a piece of animation that shows their level of animation.
Also, you 'newer-people' should practise your animation skills, instead of moaning and sitting on this website waiting for someone to post something.
Man, this site is turning into something that drains your life from you.

(P.S - I'd love to help in this! My Current Animation)
I think that if there are qualifications, they shouldn't be too strict like:
(In order of importance)
1)You need to be active and put effort in. (Time limit? Progress reports?)
2)You must give a short defined sample of your animation (i.e all that take part animate a guy drinking something and walking) to determine if it is good enough*
*good enough=time and effort.
It's been said, we've tried many community projects before. It's true you loose motivation, interest. I admire your optnism, but personally this will turn out like all the others. Ofcourse you can proove us wrong and succeed, but we only say this not to put you down, but just stating the attempts in the past.
I wish you good luck, and hope you succeed.
To get people motivated will only be a problem if anything actually happens.
Personally, I find it hard to stay motivated for very long.
But anyway, the idea is: "let's do a community project" which takes us nowhere, what is needed for anything to happen is something like: "let's do a community project about [insert recent event/storyline]"
Where the film "The Day Brickfilms.com Crashed" had a recent event (brickfilms.com crashing), we have nothing.
I just got an idea. If we really want to make a community project...why don't we actually start making one? Just discussing about it will take us nowhere.
it seems a lot of people want to do Boom De Yadda
there also seem to be people that don't want to...
I think what we need is for someone to organize a project ![]()
