The Lost Boys
Pretty good, I liked it. Edgar and Allan Frog were awesome.

Stand By Me
Beautiful, loved it.

Suspira
Can't say that I loved it (bite me, Kinz mini/tongue), definitely had its moments, though, and overall it was pretty good. It was nice seeing something different, too.

Magnolia

Wow. Talk about performance driven.
Reeally liked it. Definitely not of the norm. That's probably why I liked it most.
I will say that ending came out of left field though, but after a little research on the movie I realized that it's one of those that's way deeper than you'd think. I recommend seeing it, but don't see it if you're not into artsy movies.

Rio

It was really good. mini/bigsmile

Why are you looking at my signature?
Mod edit: Your signature started it.
... Oh yeah.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Really good. Overall it was fantastic, a little slow moving in parts but in all it was brilliant.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

I love this move, really, really, really loved it. I'd seen it before, but it's been a few years, and I still love it. The jokes, the characters, the story, it's just brilliant! I especially love the set design and the detail with the Vogons, the way they move and everything. Plus it's got a lot of great people in there, like Alan Rickman, absolutely PERFECT for the voice of Marvin, and now one but Bill Nighy could ever be that great of a Slartibartfast.

It isn't really the same as the book, particularly a whole lot of scenes they threw in the middle, but I don't find most of the changes very annoying, and some extra things are quite nice, particularly the Point of View Gun, and Vogon marksmanship.

This movie is wacky, witty, and wonderful. I totally recommend it unless you have trouble taking in abnormally large doses of weirdness.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

As a standalone film it's great, but just can't compete, or even compare to the book. I enjoyed it, though, ignoring its flaws.

I don't make Brickfilms. I trade virtual hats.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Contagion

I was expecting this film to be more like one of those movies about a couple people surviving in a post-apocalyptic world, but it was actually much more realistic, documenting each day, as the disease spreads, and spreads, and spreads. I wouldn't call it a horror movie but it was quite frightening. I enjoyed it, and I would suggest going to see it!

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Insidious
Quite the good and atmospheric horror film. If only it didn't revolve around a bland, boring ass family.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Sky High
Nice little film, I quite enjoyed it.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Boogie Nights
Wow, that was dang good. Missed the first twenty minutes or so, and I was doing homework as I watched it, so I should definitely watch it again, but what I did see was impressive. Must see more Paul Thomas Anderson.
Also, Mark Wahlberg has a massive dong. Unless they faked it...

The Adjustment Bureau
Better than I was expecting. Nothing standout, but still alright.

They faked it, I listened to the PTA commentary. And yes, watch it again C

Equilibrium
I love the action scenes in this film. The last shoot-out between Preston and Dupont] kicks ass.

Rango
That was incredibly awesome. Best western I've seen in a while, and has instantly become one of my favourite animated films.
