Re: Endless Knight
It's cool, yes, but I personally enjoy really nice 15 FPS like Stranger than Fishin' compared to stuff like 24 FPS Egyptian Holiday.
With 15, it's simpler, not as complex, and so it allows you to focus on other cool stuff besides a ridiculous frame-rate.
I always thought Stranger than Fishin' was shot at 24fps but on twos (so 12fps basically). I may be wrong, but it goes to show that although it was shot at a slower framerate than most brickfilms it still looked good because the movements were just right. 24 isn't completely ridiculous, but as you said 15fps is probably better for this. I'm finding 20fps a good one to use at the moment, I plan to use 24fps for my big 'secret' (in other words I haven't got the proper idea yet!) film for school when I'm ready to move up to that.
$1200 on a film seems a little high to me. I honestly can't see what you would spend all that on. A camera, okay, maybe some fancy program but $1200 is quite a lot. I really hope this goes well for you, if it does I think this could go down in history as the Avatar of brickfilms (I mean the cost)! I am really excited to seeing this once it's done, looks impressive. Best of luck! ![]()
