I dont know if I would enter a trailer contest, becausee....I think it would still give away too much about my entry, but I would enter a poster contest: it's definitely something new, interesting and maybe more challenging. Though I would probably do a poster even if there wasn't a contest for it.

My film will touch on both the suspense and supernatural themes. How I interpret the theme "Supernatural" will be quite different from what most people on the website will think "Supernatural" is though.

Well, after all, if you make a horror movie, it's difficult to make "supernatural" without "suspanse" anyway.

Well, the set is basic for a reason, it will (kind of) be explained in the film.

To answer your question about how to get an all black background, I have a giant piece of card stock colored black which I put behind it. It has some scratches though when I adjust the light, contrast, etc, it makes it look totally dark and the place also looks creepy and spooky. I'll probably make a tutorial.

I'm making a haunted house film, and that's definitely not unoriginal, if you wanna enter the supernatural theme. And it even fits for the suspense theme.
