Re: The Doctor Who Discussion thread(SPOILER ALERT!)
I really love the trailers and preview's that we've seen. I think the new villain's the tesselecta's can be really cool on the show.

Saw the new episode of the second half of the series!
The dissapointment comes with the length of Hitlers part. They call it "Lets Kill Hitler" and then promptly meet and dispose of him in the cupboard. Otherwise it was a bucket full of answers, explaining who River is and meeting her for the first/last time. I expect we wont see much more of her now. This is more of an answer episode than anything, the most action was at the beginning. The antibodies and the "Justice Vehicle" played a kind of bad guy but they seem like a way to give information and add action to the episode, which would just be talking for the main part.
Summary: Answers episode.
Maybe they realised they had slightly confused the plot and wanted to get it back to the normal run-away-from-the monsters. Also, no suttle clue that I can see.
One more thing I have to add. How come everyone can travel in time all of a sudden?!?
wow, that episode was amazing! Absolutly brilliant!
What?!?! It's out! Crap, you Brits get everything first. A government, penicillin, and now Doctor Who. Well, it is the BBC after all. ![]()
Watched the new episode last night.
Firstly I really like Rorry's mini.
The episode itself was, as KobbleThePenguin said, a lot of answers really. I like the way we've now gone back right to the start where River didn't know the doctor, and where she wanted to kill him.
I also liked the justice bot thing. I thought that it was pretty cool.
And the next episode looks great. It looks like a scary one, I can't wait for that.
I saw the new episode yesterday. Seeing as I had only seen one Doctor Who episode before I had no clue what was going on. It was fun to watch none the less.
I thought the last episode was awesome. ![]()
Especially Hitler's scenes. xD
I find it very amusing that
Hitler is the one to make River regenerate into herself.
xD
Though, this makes me wonder
Why didn't River regenerate at the library?
It was a decent episode... A little overdone with the regenerations, but at least it explains the issue of "will the doctor run out of regenerations?" No,
he now has 12 more. He had two to go, and river did it twice.
All in all, I liked the episode. It felt a tad bit rushed and I really didn't feel any great concern for the Doctor and his supposedly-imminent death (though I'm not sure you were supposed to), but it was enjoyable and informative.
Nah I don't think that line is serious.
Besides, 5 + 0 + 7 = 12.
Did you read the interview? It sounded pretty conclusive to me, dodgy numerology aside. ![]()
RTD dont know anything about how to handle a good story so you might aswell forget what ever he is saying.
Feel free to hold whatever ludicrous opinions you want. It doesn't change what has been established in the the universe of the show.
Yeah so why did he say 507 when the show said 12 earlier?

The thing is, it was said on a spin off show thats written by the old head writer. In my opinion, anything RTD says is hardly canon.
Finally some plot in Torchwood tonight.
Saw the next episode!
Well, it was the "scary episode" and I was certainly scared! Written by Mark Gattis, not sure on the name, who wrote the Charles Dickens episode, the Wire episode and the more recent WWII Dalek episode.
The storyline was a lot less complicated than they have been before, but with it's own secrets. A boy (or not) calls the Doctor from being so scared, they go investigate, people go missing, Doctor finds the alien thing about the cupboard, then when they all go back together the Doctor steps out of the limelight and Daddy saves the kid.
The monsters were creepy but I think it was the suspense that made it scary (ideas for FOS?).
All in all, a brilliant episode.
On the subject of regenerations, I just thought (literally as I'm writing), we dont know how many regenerations River had left, we think the Doctor had 13/507 regenerations but now they are all gone! For all we know River could have had had 100 regenerations.
If he got regenerations from a girl, will we have a female Doctor next?! ![]()
