Not bad... What FPS do you use? you should use 15 or higher.
I use about 7 FPS.

That is very low. Most people use 15fps.
Yeah, I know. I plan to bring it up to at least 12 FPS, hopefully 15 FPS by the end of the year.

I would personally use 15fps straight away. Once you get used to it, it'll be easier. It maybe double what you are using now, but the quality of the animation is worth it.
I used, accidently, when I first started out, not long ago, use 7.5fps(it was set to 15 but I didn't realise the hold was on 2, halving my FPS). the jump is not a lot.

There are many tutorial on youtube. This walking tutorial will provide smooth walking at 15FPS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j93RF2DGGdk
Other than that, just be considerate of how many pictures you are taking for a certain action.
I've seen that and Fancypants'. I have to admit that your walk cycle videos are pretty good! I think that taking many pictures is the hard part, but I also find the "ease in and ease out" concept is hard.

Thank you. It is not hard just time consuming 
. I haven't conquered the concept of easing in and out yet, but as with most things in stop motion, practice will help.
