An action adventure.
I hope you like epic classical music and jazz. xD

As some thugs bring in their latest steal, an action hero comes in and takes them on in a super stylized fight scene.

Winner of the Making an Entrance Animation Challenge, as well as Dirty Sword Fight.

If you watch this a few times, you may notice my Archway, a ninja, and a reference to a classic brickfilm all hidden in this movie.
Good luck finding them. mini/smile

Special thanks to Brick8 for making the challenge which started this.
To my fencing instructor for letting me use some of his jazz.
And Stan The LEGO Man for recording a scream which was actually recorded for another movie, but worked so perfectly here. xD

Please watch to the very, very end, I always have funny stuff after the credits. mini/smile

Nice Bricksplosion! Overall, a very pleasing film, good action, nice animation, and it was overall a very nice piece.

Re: (Enter Vladimir Vango)

Wow, that was just stunning. Especially that bricksplosion, crazy stuff there. The fighting was very good (I can see how 'I Am The Night' will be like! mini/bigsmile) and again, the bricksplosion. How'd you do it?

Back In Black!

Re: (Enter Vladimir Vango)

Awesome!!!
This is sorta random but what lights did you use? I can never get the lighting right in my films...

Thanks. mini/smile

Though, you're not exactly seeing how "I Am The Night" will appear. I'm pretty sure its going to be a lot better than this. mini/smile
In a way, this was a bit of a test run. After this, it's going to blow your minds! and half-way through filming we found a good tripod for moving camera shots. xD Before, all we had was one to keep the camera up. He he

I plan to be posting up some stuff sometime about how I do that bricksplosion, along with an interesting lighting set-up. It'll be once I get back from Brick-Fair.

Wow, so glad you finished this, because that was amazing! mini/bigsmile I''m always struggling to come up with interesting fight scenes, but you pulled it off perfectly.

Re: (Enter Vladimir Vango)

I'm not usually one for pointless violence but that was amazing! I really love the entrance thing. mini/bigsmile This is in 15 fps right?

So yeah, I'm back from my mind.

Re: (Enter Vladimir Vango)

Yes, 15 FPS.

I'm glad everyone's been liking this. mini/smile Even though it was rather rushed.
I have so many comments on YouTube. xD Most people are saying this is my best.
Sorry for the lack of story though. This actually has a lot of back story to this for Vladimir Vango, it just isn't explained here.

I'll be getting some pictures of my lighting setup and how I did the effects soon.

Re: (Enter Vladimir Vango)

Very good! The camera angles were excellent! How long did that that take you to animate?

Re: (Enter Vladimir Vango)

How long did that that take you to animate?

I spent less than a week animating the first bit where I won the making an entrance, after that I got really lazy from using so much energy to animate so fast, so the next few weeks I just did the stuff where Philip is shooting at Vango and he deflects.
But once Dirty Sword fight started, I began hurrying again and finished it up with the sword fight in a week.

So, I think it took about a month over all.

Wow... So amazing! mini/bigsmile

Thanks LGFB. mini/smile

Re: (Enter Vladimir Vango)

Wow, this is fantastic! Top notch animation. I have to say, that this has to be your best work yet!

Re: (Enter Vladimir Vango)

Here are some pictures of the bricksplosion in the final frame from a slightly different angle.

Without red lights:

Because the lighting is actually rather dark and I set the camera to absorb a lot of light, it looks very bright, and the glow seems to actually come from the bricksposion.

This is one of my least favorite frames of the shot though. I was getting kind of lazy and just piled the bricks more randomly. xD It took a really long time to shoot this.

Re: (Enter Vladimir Vango)

You are definitely one of my favorite brickfilmers ANP! Great sets and special effects!

You mean the opening the crate shot?

That was really annoying, I had to build this really weird sideways thing which is very hard to explain, and I didn't take pictures.
Mainly, I built a sideways box, put an arm on to hold the lid, and had Bill standing sideways, I had the ceiling sitting on the ground a few inches in the background.

Re: (Enter Vladimir Vango)

Is it possible for you to show us how your setup looks like when you shoot that shot.(0:07)

Re: (Enter Vladimir Vango)

That was very good. I love action stuff like this, but yet I don't like Keshen's action very much because of the amount of blood and guts which come out of these little plastic people.
This was great though. I especially like the bit where they were fighting with the sword and the crowbar. It was pretty cool.
I was actually planning on making something like this myself. Maybe I will make it, but I will make it different.

Already destroyed it, don't want to rebuild it. mini/tongue

Thanks. mini/smile
I feel the same way, I could only take a few seconds of Black Ops. That was horrible. In my LEGO world, they don't even have blood, they're just plastic! xD

Also, though it really really really doesn't look like it, no characters in this movie died. Yep, Vladimir Vango, like Batman, doesn't kill people, but just shoots them in ways to temporarily disable them (he's very skilled). everyone in the bricksplosion was just kinda burned.

I was actually wanting to animate some stuff at the end showing that everyone was alive, but I got lazy, and I wanted to end it with a bang. xD

Re: (Enter Vladimir Vango)

That was fantastic.

Reeeeeaaaally good.

You have inspired me for my brickfilm fight against kcirbfilms.
