I read somewhere that mobliedeli uses brown sugar. Brown sugar is not as easily moveable as real sand. When you touch brown sugar, it just makes a small indent. It's more clay-like compared to real sand.
If I were to make a desert, I would use a few tan baseplates. Then I would make some mountains in the distance and detail the desert with some cacti and dark tan shrubs.
Fabric,sand-colored blankets,or tan-colored lego's.
Did you notice not only that the question had already been answered, but that the last post before yours in this thread was over a year ago? Seriously, stop bumping threads with pointless posts.
I'm making clone episode 3,and it's going to take place in a desert,i might post some pictures.

Thought there is no problem if you do post a pic I wouldnt worry considering this thread is over a year old.
