How do I make a desert? I need a desert with details for an upcoming brickfilm.

SAND
I think real sand looks better, but that fabric is effective, easy, and much tidier..
If that's the word...
To get you inspired abit more, there are some desert sets in Aladibababad and Good Company.
I like BertL's exaples and how can you make a minifig walk in sand?
hidden baseplate, or dont show feet, or figure it out.
That just looks like he's walking across a sea of Fanta. Yellow cloth is the way to go.

What kind of Fanta have you been drinking?!
Anyway, tan cloth would be better than yellow, deserts aren't yellow, mustard is yellow, lemons are yellow, deserts are orangey-browney-tan.
Fabric,sand-colored blankets,or tan-colored lego's.
Real sand would be hard to animate, if make one small bump on it will be noticeable.
I can give you desert. Will post pic(s) tomorrow.
