Topic: Blood Effect
Brickfilmers,
Does anyone know how to create a blood effect?
I don't have Photo Shop, is that a problem?
Thanks!

Alexsnowskate,
Thanks, but no thanks.
I just want to do a sort of dripping blood effect, similar to what Keshen8 uses for various Brickfilms such as 'Cardboard Gear Solid'.
Thanks for you help anyway!

There is a whole thread dedicated to this called "Let It Bleed!". Have fun.
Well, I would probably use blender and use some fluid simulations and put it on a black background, then later remove the black and place it over top of the footage. A bit advanced, but it's what i would do. That, or use stock footage.
Thanks Golden and Pineapple!
You are some cool dudes!

You should get particle illusion se: It is pretty cheap and has many effects including the blood effect that keshen8 uses. It also allows you to edit the effects right on top of a pre-made stop-motion!! Hope this helps!
Yeah, particle illusion has a lot of the same effects as the action essentials pack (about $100 on tubetape.com). I agree with you though ZP
Thanks guys for your help!
I've got quite allot of money that I've bee saving for several years, and it turns out I have $410, so any programs that are $120 or less, I'll be happy to check out
Actually, the blood effect was a real-life liquid Keshen put under the box, and then filmed in live action for it. Just a little fyi
But if you want to digitally add blood, I would suggest Photoshop (especially with that much money to burn), or if you want to be free, I would suggest GIMP, it's like Photoshop, but free and safe.
Good luck!
Living LEGO,
Gimp for blood effects?

Yes. Gimp can do a lot of the stuff Photoshop can.
Welcome and Living LEGO,
Thanks for the help dudes!
Your both legends

If you do buy it, get straight from Andrew Kramer, the creator.
It's the same price as it is on TubeTape
