Re: l--BRAWL2011--l [CLOSED]
Sweet! I can't wait. The contest theme should be a Brawl (meaning a fight).

Can't wait. Shame that my holidays end before this starts. Will still try and enter something...
YESSSSSSSS. I've always wanted to enter BRAWL or THAC, and now I finaly have the chance! Though, I'll be in Spain so I won't have my full lego collection and there may be a little light-flicker.
It's nothing compared to Canada's. I heard they even have set bumps there to.
In addition to the theme there will be two "mod" elements. The mod elements are visual elements that must be included in every frame of your film to ensure that nothing is animated before the beginning of the one week time period; they are different for every BRAWL and will be announced at the start time. There will be two kinds of "mod" elements, and entrants only need to ensure that one of the two elements is present in any frame of footage for their film. The two elements may be used interchangeably throughout the film, and must be physically included in the set, not added in post-production.
1. The first element will be a letter of the alphabet or a numeral. This symbol will not need to be used as letter or numeral in the context of the film, though it can be; a clear effort to include something in the shape of the letter or number will suffice.
2. The second element will be two LEGO (or other plastic brick) components of two given colors connected to each other, whether by locking into each other by the studs of the brick, or as pieces in a minifigure or technic construction. Baseplates and floor pieces will not be allowed to count.
Note: It is not original to make a film about how the element changes from scene to scene and appears in every shot. The element is not intended to be the focus for the film, just a way to ensure entries are made within the one week time period.
?????????????????
I need pictures.

Here's an example:
Let's just pretend the color mod is going to be green and red. (Like Thac last year)
If that were the case, you can see I have a parrot on that leaf. That would make it acceptable.
If it were blue and brown, no.
To Be Announced prizes have an unfortunate history of turning into YouTube subscriptions.
I hereby swear to everyone entering this contest that the prize shall be something LEGO. No exceptions.

AWESOME MAN!
Bugger! On holiday during this!
Day after my birthday = hungover = no brawl.

That's only of we don't pay the gravity bill.

Spain's light flicker is THE WORST
What I meant is that none of the rooms in my house will have blackout blinds/curtains so light will get through.
Just put some black trash bags or something over the windows.

Will it be something like a lot of bricks or a set?
Man I hope so. I have quite a bit of lego but only a small portion I could use.
