What's a good program that I'm able to chroma key and that I can change FPS?
It doesn't have to be free.

Stop Motion Pro. It can also erase rigs, paint on frames, and has onionskinning. (isn't free).
I was wondering something, about a certain software. On the resources page, under Mac software, it says something about a software called, "cinefx". Does anyone know if this is a good software, and what it does, (like is it a video editor or a special effects thing)? Thanks, I couldn't really understand any of the things on the website
Does anyone know a free substitute for After Effects? Even though I get student discount, 350 USD is a lot. 
Lightworks is a free editing program that was used to edit "The Kings Speech"
how much is stopmotion pro?
My dad bought it for me, so I don't know its exact amount. I think it depends on what version you get. Google "stop motion pro" and find their website.
Can it do VFX? That's my main reason I want After Effects.
I don't think so, my post wasn't a reply to your post sorry.
(It might be able to if you have a windows machine you should get it anyway because it's pro standard.)

i cannot at all find a program that works with the Cannon Powershot A570. You name it and i've tried it. Anyone know of something?
Frame Capture programs don't work with these types of cameras, you need a webcam or camcorder
EDIT: I was wrong, turns out that some high-end software programs are capable of doing so

A small update, at last!
I have added a musical scoring program (cross platform) called MuseScore, and Libre Office (at last).

Is it ok if I use this list on my website? I created a Stop-Motion Tips corner and I want to have a software list. I said that it belongs to Brickinmotion.com at the end.
