What? Note sure what you're talking about, and yeah I should probably hurry up.

Hmm, whoops, I'm sure I put in 'Genesis'. I've fixed it now so you should hopefully understand, but if not, that brickfilm won 'Avante-Garde' last year even though it was made in only about 3 or 4 weeks. If you can pull that off I'll be most impressed.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

I probably can't mini/tongue  I'll just enter for fun if I do.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

I don't think I'll do a trailer contest since I get the impression not many folks are entering this competition anyway and I wouldn't be able to provide a prize for a trailer contest.

Less than two weeks to the deadline, folks! I hope we get at least a few good entries.  (Not saying the ones that have been submitted aren't good; I haven't looked at any of the entries yet)

Unlisted YouTube videos are an acceptable, perhaps ideal, way of submitting your film.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

My film's now just under 4 minutes. It's looking great, but I'm still unsure if this'll get done in time. The timing for me is terrible, instead of getting the start of the summer holidays to finish, I finish school about 3 days after this ends. I'm going to have to work some days after school I think, being as I've only got like 3 week end days to finish this in. I really wish I could have summer holidays a week early, that could make the difference of me entering or not.

I have to say, I'm a bit shocked. I thought that loads were going to enter, I've heard from less than 10 people saying that they've submitted or saying they're making a film now. Hope there are a lot of entries.

Sounds like someone needs to give up BiM for a few days. xD

Really, try to not let yourself get distracted, I want to see you finish this film in time. mini/smile

Four entries so far.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Four? My word... I'm not criticising - I'm hardly in a position to do so, having never even planned to enter - but compared to Avante-Garde, this doesn't seem to have struck a chord with as many brickfilmers. It should technically be an easier subject, too, as it isn't asking for boundaries to be pushed.

There is 2 weeks left, so maybe some brickfilmers (like myself) are waiting until the final week to enter their films.

It's not uncommon for there not to be very many entries this early, but I'm still a bit surprised at the general response to this contest.  The theme was mostly well liked when it was announced, and "Historical Fiction" was one of the most successful contests on Brickfilms.com back in the day, but I get the impression that not very many people here are entering this contest.

So, all I have to do to submit an entry is post it on YouTube under unlisted, then give you the link? mini/confused

Yeah, that works.  Make sure you send the link to 'BiM 2011' as directed in the first post of this thread, not directly to me.

I'm aware of a few films that are in the process of post-production, but these hardly add to the grand total of four at all. Well, who knows, perhaps this contest can highlight the talents of some new up-and-coming animators that aren't blocked out by more well-known brickfilmers.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Unfortunately, I won't be able to get in my film as Dell postponed the delivery date for the new notebook by 2 weeks. mini/sad mini/sad

I'm going to enter next year so you've already got one entry for next year!

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

I was going to enter but my entry got behind. I might still enter a short...since it is around July 4th.

Our entry is nearing completion, and we really enjoyed this theme.  We think that more people may be entering than y'all realize. mini/wink

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

I had school today, but I did nearly a minute of animation! In fact, I'm going to do a bit more now! Things are looking better for me, if I can do this much every day I will finish in time.
Anyway, as ANP said, I'm going to try to not get distracted. I probably won't post here again until my entry's finished, so good luck peepz. I'm going in! No turning back! CHARGE!
